Default Killed my Flatout Edge yesterday

Yesterday I took atvantage of the nice day and calm winds and went out with my Flatout. I was trying some moves that I Had been trying on the sim. Blam !!!!! I hit the ground hard, lots of little pieces. I thought about another Flatout but with all the new planes out there..............Indoor season is approaching and I need some suggestions.

The Byp Yak is the slowest plane I've ever flown. I've flown a couple flatouts, and its the same weight but a heck of a lot bigger. I've flown mine in a single court gym with a 24 ft. ceiling with no problem with the goals down.

Our gym is 115' by 210' with a 35' ceiling. It will be no problem flying the Byp Yak in there.

Wow, I must have my thinking wrong. I have never flown a Byp Yak, but I've always assumed that "bigger planes fly faster". I guess I better change my thinking.

OK then good luck with the Yak! I wish I had a gym like yours...

Bigger generally does mean faster, except when the weight is the same or lower than that of a smaller plane.

I'm thinking of getting a Byp yak myself. I have an ultrafly RADIX 3D now and it's great for indoor flying. it's a very slow plane at low throttle. It does well outside too. I have flown it in 10-12 mph winds. it'd also a cheap kit @ $29.99.

And of course the wing area plays a big part. The Byp has almost 500 sq. in. of wing area, so at a bit over 12 ounces it really is a slow flying plane. I love mine.

You can buy from this web www.netboxhobby.com. Two planes in one box, and One Shipping.
