NEW-------E-Flite Tribute Fx 3D ARF~~~~~~
Yet again, I was looking around and found this! The second newest plane from E-Flite. Looks like a solid pattern , freestyle plane. $65, coming late march.

Yeah, you always have to go one above what they is the absolute highest you should go. It's a secret rule.[X(]

Man, a 480 on this thing. We fly it with a 400 and it will do anything you want. The 450 setup is wicked strong. I hope you can keep the horizontal on with a 480, if not you might want to order up a couple so you won't be down waiting for plane parts.
I think you will work hard on getting the CG right with the 480 as well. Either way, the plane is incredible in the precision flight world, and it 3D's pretty darm good also!!

Saw this plane and I think all my debate over what plane I wanted next is over.
The question I have for John is; what type of foam is it?
web site only says: “Vacuum-formed foamâ€
Is it Styro, EPP, Z, Depron?... is it hollow or solid?

It seems to me that with these small, eletric 3D planes the manufacturers frequently have the recommended motor size about right. Remember when it comes to 3D lighter generally flies better. I am aware that with many glow planes, an even more so in the past, the 1 size bigger rule applied. In fact I still do that often with glow planes.

The plane uses a hollow vacu-formed fuselage and wings. The horizontal is very similar to the material we used on the original tribute and ultimate profile planes. The type of foam is a special mix which has some similarities to depron, but is not.
Guys, the Park 400 and a 910 Thunder Power 3 cell Pro-lite works excellent and keeps the weight down. The 450 and a 1320 Pro-Lite gives ridiculous power in our opinion.

My flying pal was in one of our LHS's and low and behold they had 3 of these beauties. We both got one. Cant wait to get started on her. I went with E-flight 450 motor, E-flight 20 amp speed control and Thunder Power 1350 Li-po's, Hitech HS-55s for ailerons and E-flight S-75s for rudder and elevator. I just happend to have the 2 HS-55 servos so thought they would do for the ailerons.
I was amazed that they had these since the Horizon Hobby website said they would not be available until mid- May. The hobby shop owner said they were some kind of a sneak peak deal. It pays to check with the LHS.
I will try to give you my opinions as I put her together. But just looking at the unassembled plane it looks great. This should be a great, light flyer.

Should have mine by tommorrow. I'll be using MicroDan 2510-3D/Thunderbird 18/Tp1320/11 x 4.7SF prop. Have the AR6100 in it for Rx. Trying out the Dymond RC 4.7gm. servos too. Should be a great flyer. Like to see a 200% version!

Just took it out of the box. Cool little airframe and wing. A little dihedral built into bottom of wing. Should be a fun one! Basic airframe comes out at 8oz. with LG. Trying to keep it under 17oz. Oh well, time to dig in and get her done. Still missing some 4.7gram servos but they should be here any day now. Should be tossing this one up soon.

The parts that I needed to finish mine came today. Hope to finish her up tomorrow of next day. Wind here in NC is blowing like a hurricane so will test when weather improves

Mine is ready to fly. Weather is not going to cooperate this weekend. As soon as I can try her out, I'll give a report.

Wow this looks great. The weather here in Michigan is TERRIBLE. A day before Easter and it's snowing and very cold.[sm=punching.gif][sm=cry_smile.gif][sm=punching.gif][sm=drowning.gif]

My friend flew his today for 2 brief flights. The wind was up about 20+, so they were 2-3 minute check out flights. Still looks like an awesome bird. Can't wait to get my servos in and finish mine. Looks like it has a great roll rate. As soon as the winds die down some, I'll try an shoot some video.
