Will Flaperon help landings?
As I'm sure you all know by now (with all the posts I've made in the subject), I plan one buying a Fliton Extra 330S Mini. I've followed all the threads and understand the mods that need doing to make it even better, but something that still has be (not so much worried) a bit nervous is the landing. I keep reading that the like to be landed at quite a high speed, which isn't good news when landing on long(ish) grass.
I was wondering if programming in some Flaperon will help the the Extra Mini float in at a lower speed? If it will, how much would you recommend? I set it to a switch so I would only enable it during landing.
Thanks!!

Full-span ailerons make poor flaps.
Deflecting them down increases the angle of attack of the wing, so the plane will stall more quickly.. and usually on one side first.. the oft mentioned tip-stall.
If the airplane is inappropriate for the landing area, your best option is to not fly there.. these planes need speed to remain controlled.

I agree with Tall Paul, I tried it on a couple of my nitro planes and the results were not pleasant. The best advice is to learn where your stall speed is and try to keep the speed up 5-10 mph above that. Keep your control movements small or you may induce more drag and stall it, and as always, practice, practice, and more practice.

I would say about 30-40% in low rates, and 50-60% in high rates.
Whatever feels best for you is the best answer.
