PACIFIC PLANES YAK-54 ELECTRIC
I thought I would start a thread on the Pacific Planes Yak-54 electric. I know there is one on the 35% Extra 260 (I also have one of those).
The Specs. are
Wing span 31.5 in
Length 31 in
flying weight 13.5 oz
wing area 275 sq/in
motor - Brushless (100-150w ) I used the one off their website 2215/20
First go to [link=http://www.pacificplanes.com]www.pacificplanes.com[/link] and look at it.
Unlike a lot of electrics that I have had experience with, this plane was packaged in a way that minimized warping. There was no need for twisting or ironing out warps or wrinkles, because there weren't any. The fuselage is an open frame structure, but is thick enough to be strong and resist flexing. The build of the airplane is exceptional, with tight, mitered joints that lend themselves to a rugged frame. The hinges fit perfectly in the pre-hinged slots on all the control surfaces. It has wire landing gear, foam tires and pre-bent control rods. The plane is setup for an outrunner motor and comes with an aluminum motor mount.
I used Pacific Planes picture on this thread. I am not affiliated with Pacific Planes, so I hope there are no copyright issues associated.
I will post more in a day or two I just want to see how interest there is.
