Default Silverlit X-Twin Acrobat 3D Stunt Micro Plane

OK, any plane under $100 is more of a 'toy' especially a 3-channel selling for $60 that is marketed as a 3D Stunt plane? Or does it just slip under the radar as a 3D Stunt plane?

This new 3-channel Silverlit X-Twin Acrobat 3D Stunt plane is due out in mid-July. The only problem is that its sold in England for L29.99 . Does any one know if Aero Hogs has a similar 3-channel in the pipeline with a comparable price being $59.95.

The YouTube video included in this link shows a rear view closeup of the 3rd channel elevator control movement.

OK so much for marketing lingo. What, if any, 3-channel RTF plane sold in America for less then $100 comes the closest to being an "Acrobat 3D Stunt Micro Plane." Does any one know of a 4 channel RTF micro that can hover under the control of an experienced pilot?

What is your definition of the largest micro plane as far as the allowable wing span and/or surface area or motor size. For example could a 4-channel 18 oz aileron plane with a 22" wing span powered by a 3S LiPo and a brushless motor that draws up to 200 watts still be considered a micro. An experienced pilot could still fly this plane indoors in a gymnasium.

Didn't think it looked at all special until I saw the video on you tube- WOW. I want one, its not 3D of any sort, but it looks like so much fun, especially for such a small plane.

200 watts is a lot of power, enough to 3D a light balsa plane, like a Fliton, so there really isnt a way for that to be considered micro. Thats an equivelant to a Hacker A20-20L. And 18 ounces for a plane with a 22 inch wingspan is incredibly heavy. (By sports and 3D standards, pylon racers maybe) I think 10 ounces is right at the top of the micro range, even that being a little heavy.

What do you consider the best sport aerobatic micro (RTF or ARF) with enough power to take on a 'little' wind. ???

Did you get one yet? What have you heard about this plane ~ pro/con ?
