Is there such thing as a slow flying 3D plane?
I would love to be able to get a 3d electric plane that I could fly inside the Fire Station Apparatus bays. We have very tall ceilings and alot of room but am afraid most every Foamy I have seen would be way to fast to fly inside. I realize you can just hover but I want to be able to do more than just hover. Is there something out there that I have overlooked that would meet my needs? Also I want full function, not just elevator and rudder control... Any ideas or suggestions?

you will need one of these types:
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=EFL1175
http://www.hobby-lobby.com/aito.htm
these are super light, very low wing loading and fly slow these are much better than the above type planes. the "shock" type planes are to fast.

I would recommend the SloFly EPP Mini, hands down. Visit Slofly.com to get the plans then buy some EPP from rcfoam.com and you will have a nice slow flying mini 3D plane.

F3P planes, super light, low wingloading, they can fly in a small basketball court.

Please excuse my ignorance as I am new to the whole RC Plane community, but what does F3P stand for? I keep hearing it on different posts...

F3P is a FAI competition class for indoor aerobatics. People usually train in places that are sized from basketball courts up.
FAI is the international sports aviation federation, or something like that. Those class names are just arbitrary: R/C things start with F3, Control Line classes are F2, Free Flight is F1, and so on.
What is your flying experience?
How big/small is the area that you have for flying?
Are you allowed to bring in plastic/glass fiber blades that are spinning at several thousand RPM?

Go with a micro heli! I was teaching the guys to fly at my station in our app bay. If you're gonna do that make sure the engine is outside...

if you can find one horizon made a plane called a yak bipe designed by quique somenizi that had one of the slowest fying characteristics i have ever seen. and pretty rugged. it has pull pull controls on every control surface.

The lighter the foamie is, the more fragile it is. I would go with something in the 5-10oz range to fly indoors. Also, using air dams on the front of the wings can really slow down the plane, while still maintaining complete controll. I suggest a DW Foamies Gen-X Jr. or a Yak 54 Jr. ( www.dwfoamies.com ).

I have seen the Yak bipe, the pink one, right?
And the guy on RCG is Butch selling Boomers, they are wings made from WW wings but he makes them into super fast flyers, or small, light indoor flyers.
And the Lightflight bug is amazing, I have flown one of my friends and those things just float around, very maneuverable and fuller acrobatic.

The Excalibur from fancyfoam.com is also a great indoor plane. Has a light wing loading and flys nice and slow. Durable too. Watch the video on the website.
