The cr-1 is a great plane.Very easy to hover.6mm foam makes it strong(as long as you dont crash it alot)Ive had mine for about a year.[link]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyDatcvH_-s[/link]

Charger CR1 CR2 and the Avilon have exagerated body thicknesses. They KE about as easy as flying on the wing. Charger will have you doing 3D much sooner and much lower than other types. Avilon is IMAC oriented though.
DW planes have a more scale fuse profile. It will take longer to master rolling maneuvers with them but if you like a challenge they are the ones to have.
Both are fun to fly. Charger CR1 and CR2 put a big grin on every time out.

The cr-1 uses 4 servos. You can use a Y-harness on your reciever if you only have a 4 channel radio/reciever.

You probably can't go wrong either way. I have the DW 38" Juka and the 48" Yak. A friend of mine has the 38" Yak and I have flown it a good bit. The DW planes are great planes for sure. They are very easy to 3D. The 38" Juka is just wild. It rolls very fast and does just crazy things. I will eventually get the 48" version of that one too.

I've heard good things about the Charger planes but have never flown one. Just go ahead and get one of each and let us know which one is better!

hey Guys
I've flown, crashed, fixed the same Cr-1 for almost 3 years now,and over the years I,ve also seen a lot of them in the field, and that design has been changed many times by charger. and their still going strong!!!( I still have one new in the bag waiting its turn) I also have built and flown many other different companys for various reasons(lighter, bipes etc..) but I always have kept the Cr-1 flying because its a great outdoor flyer it can handle some wind. I use the AXI 2212/26 920kv W/ T.P 900mah batts. alot of guys use the bigger batt'and I did too.But the smaller batt is great.Throt.management, and I get great flight times and hover like mad. 11x3.8 or 12 x3.8 prop. I also have a couple of DW's the jr.yak @ 4or 5 oz. Great flyer. And just built a Juka a few weeks back. The one that is the same size of Cr-1,used the same power combo. and This plane also flys Great. I think it might feel a little more solid in K.E. zero mixing req. and also feels solid in hovers.

You cant go wrong no matter how you go !!!!!

Good luck!!!!!
