Awesome! Someday you must share your set up information.

Thanks guys! my setup is the stock iPAs full combo, Thrust 30 + Quantum 45 ESC, Voltec VTS-70 servos, PA 2200 pack. Can't go wrong with that setup!

Wait until you see the power output from that weight.

Soo easy too install....15 minutes from start to just about finished...gotta solder the battery connectors that are on their way. The plane is a ton lighter! I can't wait to see it perform!

2lbs 2oz...perfect!

Took it out for a go t'day and that is amazing. Vertical was better with the p25, but everything else was much nicer. Just gotta get the CG figured out, a bit nose heavy on the two flights I had. Landing is more relaxed than when I was hauling around all that extra weight. Thanks for the push on the PA set-up.

I have struggled with the best CG on my Katana MD as well. After many test at every CG position in the 95-101mm range, I have found that High Alfa works well Between 101 to 103 with 103 being difficult to land and a handfull above 50% power, and pattern style is best at 97 or 98mm. Keep in mind I haven't been doing this very long so Daniel from PA may have better information. If you haven't checked out his videos on the How To section of the PA website you should.

Have fun!

I really don't have a number for the CG! but i recommend to trim the airplane for normal flight, and while inverted it should drop a tiny bit, or maintain inverted with no input, this will be close to the perfect cg for it, if you feel it is hard to land move the cg front a bit more.

I have a PA extra 260 and it seams that is always pooling to weels during Knife Edge,do you think that a litle down thrust is needed? Also i have problems to keep it straight in hovering. When i am in vertical the plane pools right or left .Please advice if anybody knows.

I'll swing the 13x6 Xoar. I have a 13x6.5 APC in case I tip strike. I'll make sure to get a few to choose from. I have already taken out and sold the E-Flight gear as a fellow club member needed them. It helped pay for the new combo. [8D]

I have a couple Flightpower EVO25 2170mAh 3s'. Are they comparable to the PA's for size and weight? They have a 50c (108 A) burst rating.

Thanks for your help, btw.

Try installing a small wedge of about four sq in in front of the vertical fin. The fin should resemble the one on a Mustang. A small triangle extending the vertical stab forward. I would provide a picture of the one on my Yak but I don't see a simple way to do that. On the PA extra the wedge has a dramatic effect on the wing rock and makes the plane much solider in a hover.
