New E-Flite Edge 540QQ 280
I just got the new E-Flite Edge 550QQ 280, it looks to be fairly good quality but I perfer regular BNF because I dont like buying batteries that I dont already have. (and are out of stock!)
Has anyone had experience with these people? I am thinking about buying some before the first on 2013 for the fun fly.www.rocbattery.com/collections/lithium-polymer/products/roc-500-3-30c
I hope to fly this bird soon!

Any flights yet? I also smoked one of these over pretty good but decided not to buy it yet because I haven't heard much from it.

I just found one of these under the Father's Day tree! (Well, last week...) Haven't had a chance to fly it yet, as the winds were too much the 2 times I went flying since. Hopefully I'll get a chance soon, but I won't be able to give a full report, as I'm a newb when it comes to 3D and serious stunt flying. Hope I'm not in over my head! But I'll still give my observations when I finally get her airborne.

RE: New E-Flite Edge 540QQ 280
Got 2 flights on her this morning. I was concerned since I really am not a 'stunt' flyer yet, that it would be hard to fly, but it was easy. I'm using a Dx8, so I used the programming I downloaded from Spektrum's site. On low rates she's a breeze. Not too quick, plenty of vertical power, though. I was able to do some (relatively!) nice knife edges, snap rolls, basic loops and such. It was a little windy, like 5mph-ish, but she handled it well. The only issue is the upper rudder hinge pulled out of the vertical stab. Looks like there was no glue on it. Easy fix.

I'm very satisfied with it, and would recommend it.
