E-flite Funtana X

I am building an E-flite Funtana X which i have had sitting since 2008. I am almost done with it, I'm just wondering what the easiest way to attach the Carbon Fiber rods to stiffen the elevator. I haven't had any planes up till this point with these, so not confident on my decisions.

I just used a small drill bit and put a dimple and then put glue and thats it. Dude I used an electristar motor and a 4s 2450 lipo. It rocks .

Hi I just cut a couple of square little cutouts on the under side of the elevator and put some 5minute epoxy tohold the carbon rods and on the fuse I just put a couple of dimples and epoxied them in place.

RE: E-flite Funtana X

just got me one of these planes guys looks good here nothing but good things, I had one of the yellow ones and really liked it, but traded it about 2 years ago I here this new x is alot better can't wait:D the yellow one did not have carbon supports did it?? I don't rember I found that one used and it had I think park 400 in it and a 30 amp esc 1800 lipo it was ok. I am going with park 480 and 40 amp esc, 2200 mah battery on this beast. you all here anything about the 40 amp v2 esc getting hot on some planes:eek: I here that you can use a seperate battery like a 4.8 nimh with lipo to help keep esc frome getting hot?? would that not put to much voltage to the reciever?? just thinking here has anyone had any problems with 40 amp esc getting hot? l
