Default Yak 54 vs Extra 330sc vs Sbach??

Ok guys a 50cc version of the planes stated and (only the ones stated above) please. Which plane would be the best overall in extreme 3D and.. well just about everything else? Oh and why you would choose it? Thanks in advance guys.

I would say that depends on which manufacturer you want to go with. That would give a better idea on weight and how the aircraft flys. I would go with Extreme Flight on the Yak, 3DHS on the Extra, and Pilot on the Sbach. All planes are light and true in my opinion.

I have a 50cc Aeroworks Yak. Very nice plane. Very strong but too heavy. 18.8 lbs with carbon gear and tubes. And it flew like it. I have a 27% Hanger 9 Extra with a 55DLE. flys very well and very fast but not the most predictable, it can be a little snappy. It's 14.5 lbs. Best of those three (in my opinion) is the Pilot Sbach. With a DLE 55 it's predictable and light, 16.6 lbs. I think it looks the coolest as well.

I've owned and flown a lot of 50CC Yaks. I love them. I've had 2 EF 50CC Yaks, Aeroworks 50 CC Yak, TOC Yak, I've also owned the Pilot RC Sbach 50CC. The EF Yaks are 18lbs and the Aeroworks was even heavier. The Sback was right at 16lbs. I love the weight but it is considerably smaller in comparison.
The Sback CLEARLY does better flat spins and waterfalls. The Yaks do better at KE and hovers. The Yaks also harrier better but only slightly. I gave my Sback away to a friend and kept the Yaks. I think overall the Yaks are a better flying airplane. At least I like them better.

I've also had Edges and Extras and I like the Yaks better than them also. But the Sbach is a sweek plane and was exactly as advertised. It is amazing at how comlete the ARF is. The fuel tank was plumbed and installed. All the hinges are done for you. The cowl has a ring and is pre installed. the rudder cables are installed, and it's a high quality ARF. The Yaks are high quality but not nearly so complete.

I'd still get the Yak. I like them that much better.
Thanks
Barry

I'd post this on the Giant Forum as well. You may get a lot more activity over there.
Thanks
Barry
