How do I land Dead Stick under 50'
The plane was pointed strait up. And it died. So I pointed it nose down and tried to flair at the last 10", but it did not work.
Would it have been better to pull full up elevator and pancake it?
Also Would it be wise to do my prop hanging at 3' off the ground, from now on ?

it's hard to tell,,,,every dead stick is unique, where as altitude is your friend.... i had one DS where it quit about 50 or so feet in the air while doing a hammer head.... i dove it straight down and flicked on 3d rates and gave it full elevator and pancaked it...it broke the CF gear other than that the plane was practically unharmed

Normally I'd say for smaller stuff it's best to practice as close to the ground as you can get but for bigger birds they always seem to crunch something (semi critical) if you hit the tails or tips in unplanned scenarios.
Fix that motor and fuel system so it's reliable! Or get another.

Flairing requires that the wing actually be "flying" and not in a stalled state. From 50' nose up, a dead engine makes it pretty hard to get the wing flying again unless the plane is extraordinarily light. Basically, its a lose-lose situation where something is probably going to get busted up no matter what you do.

+1 on cutaway's post. Also agree with WJ, get the motor fixed so it doesn't die. (It really should never quit unless it's outa fuel)

Ingnition pickup censer(DLE30 Engine) was the cause of this crash/ deadstick.
But my OP Question is, would I have less damage if Full up elevator was used all the way to the ground?
Note:
( A 3D Hobbyshop 71" AJ Slick will not dip a wing in this stall.)

Probably not. The elevator needs a sufficient amount of air passing by it to be effective. I would probably have headed towards the deck myself building airspeed and pull elevator at the last moment to try and salvage what ever i could. ( been there allready). Not a whole lot you can do when its hanging off the prop vertically & the motor quits......[]Gene

Yes, flying low seems brave to those people who fly in th eclouds, but there is sense in this, a dead stick low to the ground often just breaks your servo teeth!

Well, if all else fails, hit the brakes just before impact..
Being that close to the ground there is not much you can do as the plane have either stalled already, or is close to stalling and you have no control on the impact angle - mother nature will sort that one out for you.....
Cheers
