Default Sbach 342 4S Engine

I have a YS 140DZ that I intended to install in a DP 330 but the purchse of the airframe fell through. Now my attention has shifted to a NIB Sbach 342. I realize that most if not all 3D airframes are powered by gas engines due to the cost of glow fuel and reliability. Would this model YS engine be a practical choice to power this 3D machine.

No experience with that airframe but that 140DZ is better than most if not all of the 30cc gas engines especially when you consider it will probably be lighter.

The Goldwimg 30 sized SBach 342, that Troy Built has on sale would work well with that powerplant, I think.

I have the 70 sized with a 60 inch ws, and the 30 sized has a 73 inch ws

stay under 13 pounds, use APC 18x6W or similar. You may have to extend the engine box on some models, depending on the mount you use. If you fine tune it, fuel consumption is reasonable. Threadlock and/or teflon tape the exhaust, it will shake loose. have fun.
