this edibles stalking me. Every where i post he posts. Sorry!

The canopy on that plane looks really wrong for the lines on that plane. Be interesting to see how heavy it is, and how well it flies.

Yeah, if a guy were to find a different canopy or make one, or cut up a McDonalds super sizer cup and put it on there or anything other than that upside down B-17 chin gunner bubble it would'nt be that bad looking of an airplane

Wow, That thing looks like the "Extra" version of the Capiche 40. Yuck is right... I hate these pattern styled planes with “sort of scale” plane stuff stuck on them. It's gotten to the point where a profile fun fly is easier to identify.

that thing is hideous, i've seen prettier blisters.

the weight on the advert says '5-6 lbs' we can assume its going to be at the higher end of '5-6 lbs' and that is lardy for a .40-.50 size '3d' machine.

the canopy, cowl, rudder, hell-the whole thing is wrong wrong wrong

also, is it me or have they used a butter knife instead of a prop in the advert?? answers on a postcard

You guys are right, that canopy is so ugly that is ruins the looks of the plane. I wouldn't buy that with your money! If they fix the canopy it will look great!

But maybe that canopy makes it fly better! .....

Should weigh about 3 1/2 to 4 lbs! Different canopy, different weight, less cheesy covering scheme, it'd be a shweet ride. Really was looking forward to this plane when it was posted what, last year? Now that Bubba owns the company....

Take a bunch of monkeys on crack, throw em in a room and the matrix is what you get!!!!!!!

If you want a Seduction Freestyle type plane then buy the real thing.

Why do you want a knock off when you could get the real thing?

I wonder how some of you can say this thing is ugly and still like the Chip Hyde Double Vision? I say lets see the flight report before we come to a conclusion. I mean seriously guys, look at the UCD thats as ugly as they get (No offense to UCD owners) but after flying it you change your tune.

I'm not cutting down the airplane, it could fly fabulously. I just dont like the canopy I think the rest of the plane looks just fine, I hope its awesome... maybe I'll buy one... and a different canopy...

Im not sure if anyone is still paying attention to this but ill try anyways. I have owned a Matrix 3D for about 2 weeks now, i have a 76 gms engine in it, and so far this plane kicks ass, but you have to land it fast due to the sweep in the wings, it has been hard adjusting to that but other then that it flies extremly well! And about the canopy, i agree, it does look pretty fugly, but i tinted it, and put some strips on it to make it more life like and it looks pretty awesome, i also added some flames to the cowl, that looks pretty good too.

Check out the thread in the Tips and Techniques Forum on this model. Myself and another RCU'er from Houston have had ours for a while now. Our thoughts are briefly summed up in that thread (more details are available in a couple of threads in the ARF Forum).

Basically, he likes his. I'm rather lukewarm about mine.

I am, however, a bit amused by all the negative comments regarding the model's appearance. How many of you nay-sayers fly a profile fun-fly? To me, those things look like a C/L model that brokes its lines...

Sitting in front of you, this model looks like a baby pattern ship. Flies like one, too, as long as the wind isn't too brisk.

Default Flying the Matrix

I have the Matrix and it flies like it's on a rail. It is powered with an OS 70 Surpass II. Low and slow is wonderful, knife edges like a champ, flips itself inside out nice and slow or quick - your choice. Needed a little weight in the tail and expo into the elevator and ailerons on high rates. The elevator linkage isn't the best from the manufacturer but usable. Many guys replace theirs on installation.

You may think it's ugly but it's tough to beat the handling.

I have been deeply amused by all these post, i am almost done repairing my matrix, all i have to do is get more linkages for my ailerons, after the joe nall i have gained more interest in 3D. I dont think the plane looks that bad, actually i think it looks pretty cool, but i dont like the sweep in the wings, it makes it too fast on landings, everytime i have landed i feel that my landing gear is going to rip off, or maybe i should set it up for flaps, hmmmm.
