Default Flapperons & Futaba 12FG ?

I have posted in the radio forum & dont have any responses to my question, so i'll try here. Has anyone useing a Futaba 12FG radio programed flapperons? I use them on all my fun fly models & have just got around to updateing them to 2.4. On the 9C & 7C its right in the menu, but i cant figure it out on the 12FG. I want both ailerons to work as flaps but opposite of my elevator & still retain aileron function. No brainer on the other two radios, just cant get it on this one????[] Gene

Your post was in the Futaba manufacturer's rep forum. I wanted to reply to your question there, but only the Futaba reps can post an answer there. Next time post your question in the general radio forum instead.

Now that your question can be answered by anybody instead of just Futaba reps, here's my answer.

The 9C and 7C referred to flapperons as flapperons, so it was easy to find and setup.

The 12FG uses a combination of WING TYPE and CAMBER menus instead. They do the same thing as flapperons (and more), but with different names.

First, go to the LINKAGE menu.
Select MODEL TYPE.
Under WING, select 2AIL.

Next, go to the MODEL MENU.
Select ELE->CAMBER.
On screen 1/3, adjust the RATE A and RATE B values to get the flapperon deflection you're looking for.
On screen 3/3, set the desired switch to activate the flapperons.

I've never used that radio, only JR and Hitec. That function would be under sailplane section or something? or just wing type chapter?

The "Wing Type" is selectable in both the Airplane and Glider modes on the 12FG.

Often guys at the field ask for advice and set up on their aircraft, sometimes I need to enter their radio menu, some I am not familiar with, thats why I asked.
No offense at any comments given
