Default 3d planes with flaps?

Hello everybody, I was looking at my local craigslist ads and there was a person selling a 3d plane with flap modifications. The person had split the ailerons and added servos that mounted to the underside of the wing. While I love using flaps for landing with my Corsair, I don't know if I could still use the plane for 3d flying. My worry is that if I try to hover or prop hang that I will have no roll control because the airflow induced from the prop wash would now be flowing over the flap and not the aileron. My question is this a serious concern or does an a 3d plane with flaps still perform the same as it would without flaps?

you can link flaps and airlerons .. in a mix in your radio .. .. you wouldn't lose any surface the flaps would move with the airlerons while the flaps are OFF

but over all pointless to a 3d airplane IMO

Think you will have to use a y harness or matchboxes
If the linkages are not the same, it would very difficult to set up. I,d pass on that sale

You can add a flaperon feature to your next airplane, if you like to try some flaps or airbrakes for big sink rate or lift.

If you have a JR or Spektrum TX, just configure the plane as a GLIDER.

You can then have flaps, full ailerons, half ailerons, crow, snap flaps, etc. etc. etc.

The JR / Spektrum glider setup aggregates the channel assignments for best response from the individual servos too.
