Some of us have had HS225mg servos fail. Search on RC Universe and you will find the details. I no longer use them.
What size plane are you flying? I have had good performance with standard sized servos from Futaba, Hitec and Tower Hobbies.
Among the pushrod options you might look at Dave Brown's glass-epoxy arrow shaft pushrods. I also like 2-56 piano wire in a sleeve.
Locating your servos in the tail with short wire pushrods is a good option for a 3D funfly.

I know what you mean I have had 3, 225 die on me but the 225mg have been great! Couldn't fit anything but the 225's in as there was just enough room to fit them in anything bigger would work in size wayon the Seagull FunFly 3D

I just test flew my Addiction, Extremely Happy, but had to add 1/2oz to nose even with a 2200mah lipo all the way fwd, stock motor.
Doing maneuvers I have only seen others impress me with, I would get another if I had to.
