Thanks guys! Getting anxious for spring! having extremely warm Feb. so far 60+ here in Idaho. Unfortunately it's Windy though. I'm planning on breaking the motor in on an old Katana I haven't flown for years with the stock muffler while I go through the learning curve with this engine.
Very mild winter here (unlike the northeast), now I need to figure which new airframe to purchase, after reading through Matt's Pattern thread sounds like a pipe on next plane is definitely the way to go! Thanks Matt for steering me to that

The Extreme Flight 78" Extra is a great match. It has a pipe tunnel built in. It's a large model for a 2 meter. It very light at around 12 lbs. Very strong too.
After awhile I actually put in a DLE55, also piped, just to test the airframe. A 12 1/2 lb plane with about 35# of thrust was one of the best experiments I've done yet. But I don't recommend the 55; the 33 is more than enough when piped. BTW EF Exta is set up for electric or IC.

Well 1 flight today, windy so just flew once, motor ran awesome!! Started easy, set at 1/4 throttle, ten choked flips to prime, running backwards on third flip, then I remembered the advice to take my skirt off when ya hand flip it and fires right up. Probably started it 6 or 7 times getting it tuned in for break in. Actually has more power than I was expecting with stock muffler, and will improve I'm still running rich. think I'm gonna like it!!

I would highly recommend the Mile High EME 35. They are a well built motor and have awesome power. Mike at Mile High stands behind his products and like previous post said they have a 18 month warranty with no questions asked. I have purchased numerous products in the last 2 years from Mile High and received great and fast service. I ordered some servos last Monday and received them Wed afternoon. The 35 I have heard out performs a DLE 35 and I have 2 DLE 35 motors which are great motors and I have no complaints on those motors either. Either one would be good choice. As far as Dessert Aircraft goes I am sure they are great motors but why pay the high price for their motors.
