Default Love my Modeltech 3-Demon!

Modeltech 3-Demon. Saito 50 Golden Knight.
I bought a Modeltech 3-Demon on Craig’s List for fifty bucks last year in perfect condition with a .46 Thunder Tiger engine.
What a fantastic deal!
well-I hung it in my garage until this year when I got ahold of a Saito 50 Golden Knight Engine.
I put the Saito on the Demon and balanced it.
i took it out for the maiden and WOW!!!
This plane is crazy light and capable of any 3-d maneuvers!
I have actually improved my 3-d flying with this plane!
The Saito is a perfect match.
This is now one of my favorite 3-d planes!
I also have a Modeltech Magic Extra, a Sig Somthin’ Extra and a Model T. E. K. Eliminator that all perform well but the 3-Demon tops them all!
If you can find one, BUY IT!!!
ebay currently has one but they want $93 for shipping!

Fitted with FW130 speedo.

Among few models on fine day out.

My favored flying site.

Nice sport flying model.

Rather handful for doing this slow&low!
Yes, I love to see the 3D video flying action as well, with IC power. I have put one together recently I also bought for peanuts brand new in the box in 2nd. hand junk shop. I had a spare electric motor (50size) recommended for 6S, but I'm flying it on 5S/3300.
I'm not impressed with it as 3D performer, finding it bit of a handful, I think it's too heavy with my set up.
Hortco, what prop are you spinning with your Saito50?

Bit hazy but otherwise perfect flying conditions today, 8 min. flight, the longest so far with this 5S
set up.

I got one still in the box a few weeks ago for free. A friend gave me a bunch of nitro and electric planes he didn’t want anymore and this new arf was in the bunch. I’m gonna start putting together soon and was for ideas for an engine. I was thinking about the os FL.72 four stroke. It’s actually an entire ounce lighter than a .46AX.

Electric power rules! Mine runs on PA Thrust 50 on 5S.

How is it running on '72?, love to see it, any footage? Few more flights this morn in bit of breeze, it's very light wing-loaded, I prefer to fly it in dead calm. (LFA)

Still flying mine on regular basis, usually early morn in dead calm magic.

For better visibility white stripes extended along control tabs.

Nice sporty performer.
