you should really run a brushless on a 3 cell lipo to get more rpm from the motor.

would that be the cause of the intermittent power cuts??? i will order a 3 cell pack today. the 2 cell 640 pack is great for indoors stuff as i get around 14 mins out of it.
i also have a 2 cell 340 pack.

i think the 3 cell route is the way forward.

I dont know if going to 3 cells will cure your cut outs but it will give you more performance.Maybe your speed controller is cutting out when it gets a lower voltage under load.

I run a 3cell 830mah on a 2208/34 and get about 15 mins with a 9x4.7 Apc.

Finaly got to have a good go of flying the Adrenaline today.Moki has been giving me hell of a transition from low end and bogging down.Today i spent most of the morning chasing a presure problem only to find out i had the botom end to lean.It needed to be 4 notches rich from the centre mark and now runs like a train.

Hovering with the 16x12 is still ezy but pull out suffers from the lack of thrust that the bigger pitch has.Knife edge circles are dam ezy with this plane with no pitch, just hold rudder and just the amount of elevator for how tight you want the circle and its done.Tryed 2 blenders today and they have to be the most violent i have seen.My big Katana didnt even come close to doing them so tight. And flat spins.what a blast.

I still get about a 15 min flight from the 500ml tank with the Moki still running in at 1 1/2 turn out on the neddle(very rich). Some one watched my first blender when i gained height and said i must of been 2000ft,and that was straight up from the deck.

I have had about 12 fights today on mine. The more I fly it the more I like it. I am running a YS 110 on a 16 x 7 APC prop and this seems about the best compromise between speed and thust. It will pull out of the prop hang with ease, yet the spped is still good to fly patterns. I find that the K.E. Loops need a fair amount of down elevator, but other wise seems prity viceless.

Mine on 145mm CG was totaly neutral as far as KE went. At 156mm, where I fly now, there is some pitch to the canopy but nothing that needs too much stick compensation. 3D is awesome though.

I also have a 16x7 and thinking of throwing it in after my 110 has run 5-6 gallons. I too feel that this prop is gonna be a good compromise for AA flying.

Whats the conclusion re the thrust offset ?
Vortec has suggested to me that he felt it needed more right thrust, elsewhere I read the the down is maybe not so needed ?

I have an OS140 with a Hyde mount Im planning on using in my Adrenalin. The hyde mount isnt the easiest to block up to get the offset thrust, so need to get it right the first time.

I only need about one washer for a little more thrust as with the overpowering that im doing it does change these type of settings.Plus all of the blocks.

I think you will need the down thrust but the right thrust is up to your flight trimming to sort out.Chip Hyde has some good info on his site about using no right and using a mix on the rudder.A very good read.

hi there all
i flew the living bits off of mine today.

love it!!!!!!!!!!!

i decided to add some aileron reflex this morning via my tx. didnt bother testing first at height and just went for it on approach. whoops!!!!!!!!!!!!

the fuz survived the impact but the wing has broken in half breaking the main wing spar!!!!!

anyone know where i can buy just a wing???????? also the cowling took a bit of a licking but should be ok.

i dont want to have to buy a whole new model.

Hey guys thought i might join in,

this plane goes together insanely quick!! this is what i have done in one (1) day. all thats left to do is hinge the ailerons and do all the linkages. it would be finished by this weekend but we have the F3A state championships this weekend. Power is a YS 1.40L [X(]. BTW do you guys know weather it is necessary to fibreglass the wings?

I have a YS140 L in mine, just put on a 18x6w APC. I think the 16 x 10 runs better. I know its a little course for 3D but It works fine. Will climb vertically on 1/4 throttle and pulls out like a foamy! The fire wall needs to be reinforced as I pulled it out ofter a few flights! This comb beats the OS120 setup hands down which feels a little tame and weak in the hover!. No tail weight either!

Thats good to know sonic boom i will reinforce the firewall. i plan on running my 1.40L very tamely (if theres such a word?) because the conditions down here are known to assist with the detonation of YS's[]. i will be running it on a 17x8 and 15% nitro because thats what im running on all my engines at the moment and i don't want to have to mix up a seperate bottle of fuel just for this plane.

Vortec,

No way will this ever replace my Matrix!! although a Cyclone probably will
