Default GP Giles wing failure

So sunday I was practicing the sportmans routine with my 1/4 GP Giles and the final manuver is the snap at center, the right wing panel snapped off. There was no evidence of flutter and the plane was going relatively slow. Has this happened to anyone else? The spars broke cleanly as if they had been previosly cut.

What I have noticed with the plane is that the wing will begin breaking at the fuselage. I have the center taped, but it seems to begin cracking where the wing contacts the fuselage.

I still fly it but I think I will be removing all of the covering in the area and glass the entire section. I have patched it twice but notice it continues to be weak in this area.

BTW, I don' t do snaps because of this suspected issue. I read about it on the news groups.
