Default Wanted: Large Ultimate Biplane Plans

Does anyone out there have a set of Ohio RC plans....and if so can the airplane be scratchbuilt from them? Or is there enough info to draw a construction set of plans from them. (airfoils, moments, areas...etc.)

OR: Is there another Ultimate available with around a 75 inch wingspan. (Who makes the version that Chip Hyde flies?)

Thanks!
Chris

The Ultimate flown by chip hyde is an enlarged and modified ultimate designed by bob godfrey. (wingspan 104 " )

The one that is manufactured by aeroworks comes close to the original of chip hyde but there are still some differences!

nevertheless it is a beautiful aircraft and i´m sure it is cabable to perform 3d.

Chris, I have some wing plans for a DP Ultimate 120. If you can find the fuse plans, maybe we could make it work. Let me know if you are interested.

Default Ohio Ultimate Kit 75" CG

The CG is measured at the tip of the top wing 1/2" back from the leading edge. This may sound really forward however the Ultimate wings are swept quite a bit.

My buddy has some plans for the Scratch built 50% Ultimate he built last summer. It is too big of a plane for the engines that are available right now on the market. He put the 3W 200 on it, but for all the problems they have and the little bit of extra power for the extra 4 or 5 lbs that engine weighs than a 150, you would probably be better off getting a plane a 150 will go on. He recently got the Aeroworks 42% Ultimate and it is about 10 lbs lighter with all of his gear installed.

But if you want a big ultimate that is the plane for you. Biggest plane I have ever seen in person.

I would probably go with the Aeroworks 42% though if you care about uplines
