Default Twist Flight Characteristics

After reading the thousand plus posts on the massive Twist thread, I got myself one of these planes. I wanted to power it with a Saito .82, but I already had a Thunder Tiger .46 lying around, so I decided to use that. It does okay. I can't hover anyway, so I'll play around with it for a while "as is". My question, however, is in regards to the Twist's flight characteristics. For example, when I roll into a knife edge and add top rudder to maintain altitude, the plane pitches down (as if I had introduced down elevator) and also rolls inverted. I asked one of the 3D pilots at our field to fly it and he told me that in order to do a knife edge with this plane I would have to hold the appropriate amount of top rudder, as well as some up elevator, and the applicable amount of aileron in order to control all the coupling produced during this maneuver. OR, I could upgrade my Futaba 6EXA radio to a 7C or 9C and try to "mix" out the coupling. I'm thinking that it would be better for me to learn how to control the plane rather than let the computer do it. But I didn't think it would be that hard to control. Right now, my knife edges look more like a twisted fork! Any advice? Or do I just need A LOT more practice?

Yeah, the Twist definitely has some KE coupling. Every plan I've ever flown has had some degree of that. There's no harm in programming it out if you can. I just fly my Twist without programming it out. It's fairly easy to get used to.

The twist is an all out fun plane to fly, but it is also very short lengthwise making it tough to do precision aerobatics. When the Harrier 46 3d makes it to the U.S. it will replace my Twist because of its long tail moment.

Well the twist should go in the funfly category instead of 3D. Alot of people are having fun with it . but is no means a fantastic 3D plane. Kinfe edging is almost non existant. there is a guy at our field after he played with it a while can KE his but it still isnt very pretty
