The prototypes off the tensors had controllable sfg I believe. I guess it helped but they took them off because of weight ( I think I could do it without more servos)

As much as I love my 90 funtana, i will strip it down to build the Showtime
I think my saito 1.50 will work just fine.
If I don't like the plane there is always some fooo.....er, ah, i mean individual who might be ready to buy it from me.
Dare to be different!?!?!?!?!

To answer your questions:
1. Yes it has airfoiled fin and stab.
2. The re are little half ribs that insert intot the SFG slot from the bottom to fill the slot if you want to remove the SFGs.
3. The SFG's attach with one thumb screw on the bottom side. The top one has a threadedrod that inserts into the bottom one. Its a snap to put them on and take them off.
4. The fuse is built very light. The rear section ius actually stick built.
5. Yes, w/o SFG's it still knofe edges stronger than the Funtana 90.
6. The bottom of the wing and stab are all purple, with a yellow stripe that mirrors the red on the top of the wing/stab.

Here is a video interview we did with Mike at the Toledo show. You can see the showtime and extra featured in this.

RE: New-ShowTime 3D 90 ARF from H9
I just ordered my Showtime today!!! This looks like a neat plane. I can't wait to try this. I'm gonna dismantle my Funtana so fast and replace it with this plane. I don't think I'll put the side force generators on though. Maybe just to try them but I don't think I'll leave them on. Maybe this plane will be the actual weight it's supposed to be and not the overweight Funtana. I hope so.
Thanks,
Barry

RE: New-ShowTime 3D 90 ARF from H9
They told me when I oredered mine today that they expect a shipment in late May. So, by the first of June I hope to be building this baby. Part of the fun is sharing the information here on RCU, so you can be assured I'll give all the information I can from the time I open the box to the maiden. It'll take me about a week to build if it's like most of the ARFs I build. That's what my Funtana took. I've already got an extra YS110FZ which is my engine selection and I'm getting some 5625 servos on order this week. It's gonna be fun.
Thanks,
Barry

RE: New-ShowTime 3D 90 ARF from H9
I've had really good luck with all the H9 planes I've built (all 3 ultra sticks, Twist, Funtana90). I think the quality is good and I like the design. But the Funtana was a disappointment to me. All the others came in at the listed weight or less but the F90 was two pounds overweight. I just never could get over it. So my worry is that the Showtime will be overweight too. But, I'm optimistic and I'm hoping it will be between 8-9 lbs like it says it's supposed to be. The F90 said 8.1 lbs so already I'm betting this will be more realistic. If I can keep it under 9 lbs without real special consideration I will consider it a success. I printed off the building manual on the Horizon website. That gives a lot of insight to the plane. It really looks good. I'm very excited and hopeful it will be a good airplane. I also had a problem with the F90 on the CG. It's very hard to get it forward enough. I notice on the Showtime they offer two ways to mount the rudder servo. It has a tray under the canopy for a pull/pull system or the fuse is cut for a tail mount. The hardware is included for either setup. I'm assuming this is for the lighter (Saito 100) engines vs. the heavier (Saito 150 - 180) engines. My initial thoughts are to build with the servo in the tail. That's what I perfer, but if the need is to add tail weight to get the CG right, I'd rather go with the pull/pull option. It's nice that H9 gives the option for either way right out of the kit. So with this forthought I'm hoping they have done a better job than with the Funtana. Anyways, I'm looking forward to it.
Thanks,
Barry

With the amount of wing area the funtana 90 has it doesnt affect it at all weighing around 9 pounds, iv'e flown my buddys and it flys perfect,
My 40 weighs in alittle less then the factory specs, not sure where they went wrong on the 90

Does anybody think this plane (Showtime) will be more aerobatic than the Funtana 90, because a buddy of mine let me fly his Funtana 90, and I was hooked[8D], awesome!!! But this is a great new plane, which one will be more aerobatic

I already have mine on order. They expect to ship in late May. At least that's what they are saying right now. It looks like a pretty neat airplane. I have a brand new YS110FZ that I'll be using. I'm also going to use HiTec 5625 servos on the elevator, 5645 on the rudder and 645 on the ailerons. I think I'll use a mini servo on the throttle to keep the weight in check. I've downloaded the manual and it looks similar to F90 in build time and features etc. I'm hoping the weight will be closer to book then the F90. I'm looking forward to seeing this plane. It looks like fun to me.
Thanks,
Barry
