Default FUNTANA .40 COWL HELP!!!!!!!!!

Hi all, i have a problem. My Funtana cowl seems to bent slightly up meaning instead of the prop driver being in the middle of the cowl hole its down at the bootom and when the spinner is on there is a gap at the top. Anybody else had this problem? and if so how did you modify it to fit propley? It so annoying when you get a good looking model like this and then you are let down by the cowl[:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]

I have had the same problem. By looking at the pictures of other Funtanas I think I'm not the only. I use a bigger spinner with alu backplate. Anyway that plastic spinner is not good enough for a fourstroke engine.

I think they all look like that. It's the way the bottom of the cowling sits on the nose of the ARF.

You can CA some CA hinge material on the back side of the mounting holes and then drill new mounting holes to position the cowl to the center of the spinner. The CA hinge material gives the area around the drilled holes lots of strength that resists wallowing out. Then use larger washers with the rubber backing on the mounting bolts for a more secure cowl and to also hide the original mounting holes. I do this on almost every plane with a cowl.
