Other then that the rest is simple, get a .15 size motor mount, drill the firewall and install blind nuts for the motor mount, put your fuel tank where the batterie normally goes witch is right behind the firewall.
Thats about it GL [8D]

I can't wait to try it. If the 10 motor isnt enough we are going to put a os15 on there but it should be enough I hope. We didnt add and extra ply to the front. We think it is strong enough for this motor. The stick that goes through to hold the electric motor seems like it supported the front really good after we cut it off.

RE: Mini Funtana Goes GLOW!!!!
I finished mine about 2 months ago. It has about 25 flights on it now and it goes to the field almost all the time to fly. I put another firewall right over the one that is on the plane and epoxied it real good. I had to replace the landing gear with a stronger one and support the bottom better for it. Just had to epoxy everything real good and it has been holding up great. I put an OS .15 LA in the one I use and it flies fast enough with enough power. The landing & take offs are a breeze with it.

RE: Mini Funtana Goes GLOW!!!!
I am using a Futaba FPR 127DF & JR NES 241's. I had 3 flights on it yesterday and 3 the day before. Please note that I had trouble with the OS .15 LA. I finally had to take off the backplate and make a gasket with High-Temp RTV silicone (RED) and lock thight the screws in. That stopped the air leaks and it runs great now. I did the same to by OS .46 LA having the same problem with air leaks.

RE: Mini Funtana Goes GLOW!!!!
awesome forum guys, i have been kickig this idea around since the first time i saw mini funtana, but.....i am all 3-d and need to have a engine up front to match, any suggestions would be great, also, on a plane with engine this small is it possible, or safe, to use an electric prop for better thrust? have NO experience with stuff this small ( my planes: funtana 40, twist, laser 3-d, expo 3-d, 25 percent gas katana, and a homemade 60 size foamie that can teach anyone to fly 3-d)

The mini wont be much for 3D with a glow motor on her, not only is she gaining some what, but your also going from a 12 inch prop to a 8-9 inch prop at the most, the electric version will 3D much better.
