If you want it right now, the only thing in stock is the BME EDGE II. Most likely the best 50cc 3D available if you want to have one to your door soon.

best by FAR for 3d is the EF yak 54, if you can get one, go for that,
other stuff is good, but, yea, i dont think anything floats better or is more stable then the EF yak

I wanted the Yak as well but I got really tired of waiting. If there was a target date it would be a different story but I dont know of one.
I have opted for the OMP Hybrid 540. Half Profile, Half traditional aircraft. A 92" Wing span and supposed to come in at 16lbs. I am sending it to a pro builder to put together then I will cover it.

Hi,
I just got the Somenzini 85" Yak and highly recommend it. The construction is the same as E.F. 87" since they are made in the same factory. I started a thread about it in the giant scale forum, check it out there are some pictures also. If you are interested give Wayne a call right away, the next shipment is due in October. Somenzini.com is where you will find the contact info.

The QQ yak is advertised at 85" and 1320sq inches. Also 16 to 17 pounds.
The EF Yak is advertised at 87" and 1450sq iches. Also 14.5 to 17 pounds
BME yak is advertised at 87" and 1450sq inches. Also 15 to 16 pounds.
Is the QQ really smaller with weight the same or do the different manufactures just measure different?
I know this thread is best 3D, but I like the IMAC legal planes better as the 50cc would be my competition aircraft...also like the scale look.

Funny you mention the Cuda. It is the only DA50 size airplane I have flown and was impressed but not impressed enough to build it.
It also seems like it doesn't knife edge as well as a Yak might. Has a smaller profile area. (simulator comparison)

I'll have to throw in another vote for the Vision. I have only flown one 50cc plane so I can't compare it to anything but I can say the plane will do ANYTHING I ask of it. Best of all it only costs $465 and you can actually buy one right now
