Default Engine for Extreme Flight .40 Edge

Hi guys................I plan to buy an Extreme Flight .40 Edge 540T. The manufacturer recommend a .72 four stroke as the high end engine. Do you think this fun plane can handle a .91 4T engine?? Do you think it will be too overpower??
Thanks

Marcos

Marcos, you can run that 91 with no problem.I have a Saito 82 on mine and have seen a Saito 100 on one.Remember you can always throttle back. This plane is very well built and can handle that power.Enjoy yours.

Marcos, I think Ideally the 82 or YS 63 would be the 4 stroke of choice, and any good .50 2 stroke - Webra, OS, or Irvine would work well also. With that said if you just happen to have a 91 handy by all means put it on there.
Here's a vid of mine with a 100

This thing is waaay strong, and would handle that 91 no probs, just keep the gas off in level flight and strap the battery to the back of the fuse

the only 2 places in the word that sell them is either Extreme flight RC or Freestyle RC. EFRC are in the US, and sell to that side of the pond, and FRC are the UK and eurpean distributers. i think either will sell anywere in the world www.extremeflightrc.com and www.freestyle-rc.com

My Edge arrives next week, need advice for engine choices. Do I move my YS63 from another plane, get an OS46AX or JEN 47/57. I know that the YS is a great engine and if I could afford it I would get another or a Saito, but a cheaper option is to get an OS or JEN and would quite like to leave it in its present airframe. Haven't any experience with the JEN - any feedback welcomed.

Get the OS; and a minipipe if you can, and spin a 12.25x3.75. I've seen a groove powered by that keep up with my irvine. I've heard too many mixed reports about the J'ens to rec'mend them, more -ve than +ve.

Thanks - Will probably plump for the OS, especially as I can get one at a decent price, leaves some cash for a pipe! Any suggestions for a pipe, never used one before.

get the minipipe from Just Engines(ironic after me telling you to avoid their engines) or Weston UK, both will sort you out with the right one
