FS One has the tutorials (my copy is for sale if you are interested can make you a deal on it), but Ijust switched to Real Flight G4.5 and it has tutorials as well.

Maiden'd it today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
67 degrees + light and variable =
What a blast to fly.....finally...
The "new" landing gear saved my fuselage today on a hard landing..... Big THANKS to Great Planes for re-designing them and passing them out for free!!!
I am working on the video tonight.... should be up tomorrow... yes and the UGLY landing...got it on film too
I can already tell that 5" is not far enough back for the C.G. ....bummer ....my 6V battery is already at the tail.
I was trying out some rolling loops and circles right off the bat!!!...but couldn't get it into a flat or vertical spin for the life of me... felt like a fish out of water to my commands.
Will it be happier with the C.G. at 5.5" ???
The Saito 91 was a ton o fun... Vertical like a rocket at only 3/4 throttle with the 15x4W blade.. I am putting a 14x7 APC on it tonight to see if the spins act better... As much fun as it is to prop hang on the 15x4W, I don't think it's going to be much fun to "fly" on... not enough air over the tail... then couple that with slightly nose heavy, and you go NO thrust vectoring..

glad you had a successful maiden. Iordered the last of my parts needed last week, hopefully will have it ready to maiden sometime next week. Between now and then, Ijust finished building my Ultra Stick .40 tonight, now Ijust have to set the CG, finish the radio programming (lots to do on this one), double check all the bolts and might get to fly it Saturday if the weather is nice for me.

here is a quick video of the maiden highlights..
http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...eoid=100028458
or

Sounds mean... Even if my flying sucked.
Pause the bad landing and see how much the gear flexed.... It's amazing. they are still just like when I got them! And no broken prop!! [8D]

Does anyone know if the Saito 100 uses the same inverted pitts muffler as the 91??
I can't find(at a decent price) the inverted pitts smoke muffler for a Saito 91....... Can get it for a Saito 100 for $90

THe saito 81 was close out price of 220$ at horrizon....
Thought about getting one, but I will be eventually going to all gas in my planes, and this one
is too small....
I have a magnum .91 4-banger if I want a 4-stroke in it...
I can't get the throws needed for serious 3d with this plane anyway....so the .51 2-stroke piped
does just fine...... ( I would have to cut off wood on the horrizontal stab to get 55-60deg throw)
I will call in for those free gear, I bent the crap out of mine 2 months ago, and havn't flown it since...
(too busy flying other planes and working)

I want to use a standard digital servo the rudder on my reactor. My question is, what servo would work best. I want to get one that is $40 or less if posible.

Just called Great Planes this afternoon and they did not kow what I was talking about with the landing gear. I did email the airsupport address to see if anyone their knew what was going on. I sure hope I can get a set since this has always been the biggest issue with this plane.

..An e-mail should do the trick. That's what worked for me. They really are great replacements..
I hope to go fly within the next week and get some better video. Weather is looking good, C.G. moved back a bit more, APC 14x7 installed, and I put the muffler back on to make is sound better. I almost bought a pitts muffler off e-bay for the saito 91, but don't want to hack the firewall. []
Full weight of my setup is 102 ounces(includes 3/4 oz lead on tail and 1 oz muffler installed)

Would be nice to see a .90-1.20 size Reactor. The 50CC is just too big to transport..

Suggest A Plane
I agree on a .90-120 size. I have the .46-.70 and I love this plane. The 1.60 would be to hard for me to haul around.

I agree. I have a trailer but the 50CC is too big for my wallet[sm=disappointed.gif].

IT really isn't that much bigger when comparing a 1.20 size to a 1.60size (this isn't as large as the BIG 50cc aircrafts out there)
the Fuse is THicker, but not that much longer...
The wings are wider, again, when you take them off the wing tube, IT doesn't matter at all...
I can fit my QQ 69" yak in my HOnda Civic!!... I don't think a 50cc reactor would be that much more difficult...to get it in there...
Price:
I spend the same amount in money for the servos in my QQ 69" yak as a 50cc plane...
The engine would be a-bit more, but I spend (just tallied this year use of fuel 12gallons) over 275$ in fuel cost...
and this isn't even with as much flying as I would want to do in a year..
I could be wayy off hear... but I don't think I am...

Problem is the 84" fuse length.

I second that. Though I havent flown the Reactor 40-70 yet. A 90-120 size will be far easier to see and will definately fly more forgivingly due to the ground effect
