When I saw someone ask CPLR (Christophe Paysante le Roux (probally mispelled) ) to do a blender he climbed to height shut the throttle dived did 3 rolls left then 3 rolls right and entered a inverted spin and turned that into a tumble end over end and finished in a prophang. Ever since I saw that manouver I have always wanted to do one. But looking at a couple of aerobatic sites a blender is just the rolls and the inverted spin bit. I have been trying to do this for a few years now but i can only get up to one end over end, have I already done the manouver before I get to the tumble? I love the first described manouver and will keep trying to do it but please can someone clarify this for me!

Hi,
What the websites ay are correct, what CPLR does usualy is a blender into a waterfall into a torque roll....or thats what its sounds like you saw!

Try looking up a waterfall....its not difficult to combine them once you can do them....good luck

Tail weight help to get the flipping going. Just neutralize the ailerons and the rudder and push full down at full power and it should starting flipping end over end.

Some planes just won't do it.

Thanks guys for you help. I now know that I can do a blender but need to mod the sukhoi for the tumble. I did think it needed more tail weight to tumble so i'll have to give that a go. Its only a black horse su-31 .50 size artf so I can't expect to much from it, but I'll keep trying!

i have found that the smaller planes have a hard time doing a waterfall but it can be done. the blender is my favorite move so far but that is only because i cannot do a waterfall very well. i can get about 3 flips out of it and the itll fall out but it is my fault. If you do get to where you can do a blender in to a waterfall, then i say that is pretty freakin cool

best model to blend with is an edge 540 or cap 232.... extras seem to like it too lol.... beware though it is very violent with soem models.

Hi,
The violence of the blender is down to how far you push the throttle forward when you transition into the flat spin....i wouldnt dare to try it much above 1/3 throttle....a) theirs no need and b) the wings would probably come off!!....however that just me!!

i wouldnt do it above idle with my edge!

Have you strengthened your Black Horse Sukhoi's horizontal stabiliser?

I have heard some guys losing it mid flight.

I am just about to start building one and need to know before I start.

Hi,

The Sukhoi was not mine, it was borrowed and I did not build it. My dad however did build the black horse extra and cap and we have not had any problems with them.

What? Too chicken to do a full-throttle blender???

A friend of mine will do them with his 33% Laser 200. It stops in mid air with the th rottle wide open. A site to behold
