Thanks, i appreciate your answer! But rally- For Let's say Futaba, or Hitec servos- They Cost 60 Eur/ Peace, i already practicly didn't eat three months to buy the plane and the servos, and now it looks like i need to throw them out, still didn't understand what in performance of those you dind't like?

1. The feedback pots wear very quickly and this causes even worse centering and oscillation than when they're new.
2. The motor and pot wires are unsupported and will fracture with vibration when run in a gas or large glow-powered plane
3. Although they are rated at 13.5Kg (by some resellers), the servo amps fail if they are run with any significant load on them for any length of time. The servo amp is potted onto the board and has very little thermal transfer so overheats.
4. They are very "noisy", puting high levels of electrical disturbance on the power leads and some receivers respond badly to this.
I still have one of these servos on the tail of my Katana P profile and it is so bad that you can't actually hover the plane with this servo in it. Because of the overshoot and lousy centering, it oscillates like a pendulum until you eventually lose it. Great for improving your reflexes but not good for your adrenaline levels.
When I put a standard HS425BB servo on rudder I can hover all day long, steady as a rock.
And are you 100% Sure that the servos woun't burn my SMC-16 to Hell in the air? I just want to be sure to spend those $ on POwerExpander, or something Else(Suggest if you know some small P-box), because it would be dum to crash a plane because the receiver just melted. Anyways, how much Amps or Ma does the 10Kg servo use at full power?
I'm using a Berg 7P in my Mojo 60 3D ship (with a Saito 100 up front) and this has two HS5925 high-speed coreless digital servos on the tail and some Futaba S3010 hi-torque servos on the ailerons. This combination has never missed a beat -- despite the fact that the receiver weighs just 9g.

Here's the receiver i'll be ordering- it looks like a parky, but it's 7Ch and a PCM, so Gasser shouldn't affect the range. I don't know but hope it will carry 6 servos w/o P-box. I haven't bought it yet (receiver) I'm using Jr 9XV2 And Graupner MC-19 So i need receiver that works with those. Maybee you know some fine receiver in 120$ range if this one isn't enough? Do you have some servos to sell (used in working condition) that could fit the edge nicely. I really am in 3D flying, but never used these servos, so i don't know how they work in air.

I've few Berg 7P include berg 4 & 4L, no doubt on this receiver.. very2 trusted rx and i've using it on glider(very2 hi) nitro various size but I've one question.. does you have seen this 7P used on CC gasser like 20-60CC ?

RE: Edge540 26cc
I've not personally seen a Berg used in a gasser but I've heard that some folks have used them without problems.
However, I would not use anything other than a good PCM in a gaser.
DSP is a whole lot better than PPM/FM when it comes to interference rejection but PCM is a *lot* better at resisting high levels of RF noise and interference. What's more, it should always be remembered that the Berg receivers are only single-conversion and (despite what some say) this does make a *huge* difference when flying in a cluttered band like 72MHz.
Even if you're prepared to risk your model to a single-conversion PPM receiver you should stop and ask whether you're prepared to risk someone else's *life* to one? Big models (which gas-powered ones usually are) can kill. For an extra $50 I'd rather go PCM and get a little extra insurance.

RE: Edge540 26cc
Could some that has used the hardware provided post pictures of how they attached all of their hardware. I can't quite figure out how it all goes, or what it is all for.

RE: Edge540 26cc
For me that was the same- didn't quite find horns at all, so i made a carbon plate- made my own horns and hinges, and used only Ball links from all the hardware provided. I think that CA hinger aren't the best choice for 25% Aircraft

RE: Edge540 26cc
No, one of my friends just found out about CA hinges. He actually ripped some of his on the third flight, it was on a different plane, but similar size. SO I would definitely not do CA hinges. I plan on using Robart hinges.

RE: Edge540 26cc
Am I correct?
After a researching for a couple of days on these forums it seems the planes from Peak Model (ARF Models - China) are pretty good for the price but not "top shelf" like Great Planes, Hanger 9 or Composite ARF and the engines are again not "top shelf" but rather look hand made and there's a 50/50 chance they fail on first start. Having said that there are many of you that are very happy with the purchase of the combos and the planes (be it the Edge, Extra or Yak) fly very well. As a friend of mine says, because its large scale doenst mean it flies well.
I also gathered that you dont have to spend 600 to 800 bucks on servos for these planes but rather standard JR or Futaba high torque servos will do more than a good job.
Still not quite clear on the 40cc engine as its only $20 difference from the 26cc, but a heavy plane flies like a dog so again most agree the Peak26cc is the way to go with the correct prop for the Edge 540 and Extra.
Now that a couple of months have passed since some have bought this combo (26cc), can I get some feedback and reports on how the the combo is working out and if you have any videos?
Oh yeah Peak Models confirmed my thoughts that the video of thier Extra on the web site (the yellow one) is a 40cc engine not a 26cc and the video of the blue Extra IS a 26cc.
A few have been reluctant to buy these planes and engines as they fear the quality is (without pulling punches) crap, but in this day and age I still beleive that you get what you pay for and if you get alot of plane for buck here than its well worth it for the guy who may not be rich and not a comp pilot but a week end pilot who loves flying and may not want to spend mega dollars on planes.
Does anyone agree?

RE: Edge540 26cc
Hi all,
I am trying the Edge with a Peak 26, but I have noticed that to properlly install the engine (this is aligned with fuselage thrust line, as indicated in the firewall), I need to break the firewall in its attachment to the bottom and upper sides of the main frame !!!!! Please, I would receive advice from who has already addressed the problem.
Jose Ribeiro sent me photos of Peak installation in Extra 260, but as far as the Extra firewall is different of Edge one, the only valid answer should come from someone having mounted the Peak 26 on the Edge.
I wait very attently your help.
Thanks in advance and regards,
Miguel

Keep me posted on how you go!
I wil set up a build tread as soon as I get the plane!
good luck!

Hello,
I have an Edge with a SPE 40cm3 : it's a very good plane.
You can read this forum in french with some pics :
http://super-modeles.niceboard.com/V...E-40cm3-t6.htm
The TowerPro MG995 are very good but for the rudder i will fit a Hitec HS5945 soon.

Hey Phil
Interested in how you got the CG right? Seems we have to put ALL batteries down the tail.
Also if you could let me know what fuel line system did you use?
Thanks
Yes! if you have more pics!

RE: Edge540 26cc
Hello,
I will add the pics, just wait 10 minutes please :
- the receiver and the batteries location,
- the ignition switch system.
The fuel line is a Tygoon brand : it's the same line used with the lawnmower ( gas engine ).
The tank is a Du-Bro ( 12 oz ) with the gas cap ( red ). The filter is a Graupner.

Hello RoysterDW,
The CG is the 3D limit with the empty tank.

RE: Edge540 26cc
Hello,
Well, the CG location is important when you're landing with the empty tank : that's why i always verify it in this configuration. If the CG is too rear : the landings are too hard for the first flights.
The CG is the 3D rear limit ( 124mm in the user mamual ).
Do you need another pics ?
For the small tank : you reduce the weight of the plane and the variation of CG during the flight.

RE: Edge540 26cc
Hi Phil
OK I get it. I am mounting the tank under the wing bar where the CG is located. Standard practice for IMAC config.
More pics, yeah sure but bare in mind I have the Extra 260 not the Edge 540
