Here is a video of that plane flying with the 26cc engine. What do you think of the quality of the plane? What all comes with the ARF as far as hardware and is it worth keeping?

Very cool, Glad to hear that you are pleased with the quality. I have my eye on this combo too. Please keep us informed. I'm interested to know about the hardware pack too. Thanks for posting the picks, & by the way how long did it take to get here? In their Marketplace ad they said shipping to the states would only be about 4 or 5 days. Is this true? If so they're faster than Tower!!

this aircraft looks good with this combo. if you would have the time, would you able to post the weight of the components included with the kit plus the engine. I was wondering if the actual weight is anything near the posted weight of 8.8lbs by peakmodel.

This ATF included the hardware, the quality not bad.
I am still building, so not fly it yet, but I think I can't fly it like that guy, hahahahahahaha( not enought skill )
I received it very faster, 5 days after the payment.
and the accurate total weight not sure yet, I will post it when i finish. but I think it weight around 4kg.

he he I hope it is as good as it looks. I have just placed my order for on of these myself. I will use my mvvs 26 gasser with the tunedpipe. I think 3.8 horses will hover it even better than that engine they offer which is about half the power, though it seemed to pull it around just great.

Um, er, thanks asmund, sometimes I'm a stupid head. 37 oz. with ign. and muff ain't too shabby. i have a 3W 28i @ 44 oz. putting out the same thrust. I doubt if the fuse will fit a can muffler, but a tuned pipe would do it justice. Joe

yeah, I hope so cause thats exactly what I`m going to use. I hope my plane arrives soon so I can fit my mvvs 26 and pipe to it. That engine setup gave me 8600 rpm on a menz s 18-6 prop the other day, I wonder what thrust that would be?? Anyone out there who knows how to calculate that??

Damnit, now I got suspicious too. That guy is from Auckland(same as peakmodels adress) and is all new on the rcu. I just hope the plane is good as I will receive one shortly. It seemed to be a great flyer on the video anyway

OS 160 will make this a monster.

FWIW guys, peakmodel is also selling the Maxair Velox Revolution, listed at 260 at OMP, but only 230 there SHIPPED. The combo with 26cc SPE is ONLY 439. Can't beat that.

Now if only they've been around longer .

Anyone heard from Raymondwo lately? whats the progress? Asmund, your plane should be close to Norway by now. Cant wait to hear a second opinion.

I hope it will arrive soon. Even if the quality is just decent I still think this is a great offer. A plane of that size here in Norway will cost more than twice of that one from peak. Anyway all my other planes also come from the far east(I guess) so this one should not be of any less quality I hope. I will report back as soon as I have it at home. I don`t own a camera but I will ask a friend of mine to help me out so you can have some more pictures of it.

I have done some research on google and found that the engines(spe) peak offers are the same as the brielli guys in america use as their basic engines for refinement, so I guess quality of the engines is good as the brielli engines are beeing praised(refined versions of the spe) There are several videos out there of the 26cc planes if one google. I`m looking forward to recieving my edge540. The company have only positive feedback on the rcu forums too. I think these guys are selling great products, they sure are cheap too

Default RE: Edge540 26cc

I got my plane today:-) It looks real nice, well built(light) and firm coating with no wrinkles in it. It seem to be just as well put together as my two harrier`s, but it is built a lot lighter(hope I don`t break it on my workbench:-) Huge moving surfaces, so I guess it will 3-d well. Hardware seems to be of good quality too, just have to get a smaller tank as my 160 gasser runs for 20 mins on a 200cc tank. I don`t want to stress it with the weight of 500cc of gas when 200cc is plenty. It took about a week to arrive at my home here in Norway so they don`t use cheap shipping even though I only paid 17 bucks for the shipping(plane is supposed to have free shipping, but I did order som other stuff too) I`m going to order from these guys again, that`s for sure. I hope they will offer the whole range of products listed on their site eventually, it would be nice to buy an ys at about half the cost of the same engine here in Norway. If I was to buy everything I got from them, here in Norway I would have to pay more than double what I did.
