Default Engine change on UCD 60

I'm a serious pattern flyer really, but as the season here starts to finish,I'd like to play around a bit with some 3D.
I've got A UCD 60 with an OS 90FX, but it's Knackered--runs Ok for 3 mins or so,then overheats and slows down,to the point that the model can only just stagger out of a hover.
I don't want to go 4/stroke or electric, so am thinking OS 120 AX---The blurb says it fits into the 91 space, and it doesn't seem to weigh much more--the current C.of G. is a little behind the max rearward recommendation anyway, and doesn't seem to be a problem.
So--Is it a good idea?
Any prop suggestions, or any other advice?

id like to know why you wouldnt consider a 4stroke, since the saito 125 is probably one of the best engines for this plane.

just wondering....

Saitos are much rarer here than in the USA--there's a distinct lack of local knowledge about them--for instance, the one you mention isn't even listed....
And ,although I see lots of YS 160s on the pattern scene, the thought of 30% nitro fuel@ approx£27/$41/US gall doesn't appeal!

Based on a LOT of reading here as a Mod, I think that guys are having real good luck with the OS 120AX in that size plane.

The UCD 60 with a 120 AX would be super to say the least. You'll be flying around less than 3/4 throttle . I'd do it

I hade the same problem with the overheating. I have anSuper Tiger .90 which was doing them same as yours. I opened up the air in;ey and outlet to get more airflow across the engine and changed the prop to a 15x6 APC. I have not had any problems since then. Check your airflow, it's a bit cheaper then a new engine.

Thank you--sadly the OS 91 has been the same for a long time--the last model it was in was a profile Bipe, so airflow wasn't the prob. there.
I should have retired it earlier really.

you just need a new carb. I had the same problem on my 91 fx. Got rid of the remote needle carb and fitted an mvvs carb and the engine was great.magnum carb is also good

Thanks---I'll certainly try that----I did wonder if the fuel was heating up via that silly ali. back plate carb. mount---so I sawed it off and mounted the carb remote, on the fus side, and am currently running it with a Cline regulator.
It hasn't improved though--starts well, throttles nicely ,flies Ok for three minutes or so then overheats, slows down, and is in danger of wrecking the model.

No mention of a YS110FZ? That's what I was recommended!
