TWIST 150...WOW
Anybody seen the new Twist 150. Wow?!?!? When will it stop.
Horizon has the specs wrong I think. Looks like the 60 size to me. But the pictures look accurate. They say it's due in mid January.
Removeable stabs
Wheel pants
180 size Saito.
This could be a real fun plane.
Here's the link.

Thanks

i am comparing it to the UCD 60, closer size. i think the UCD is way more sleek and original than the... twist... blah. i never liked that design. why could horizon be happy with having the funtana and showtime. the twist sucks.

The Twists are really nice because you don'y have to worry about dealing with an inverted engine or a cowl. I do like the looks of the 60 UCD and will proabably get one at some point.

I loved my UCD 60, I wish I hadn't sold it. The guy who bought mine loves it, says if he crashes it he will buy another.

The Twist 40 is a nice fun fly aircraft, but only so-so for 3D. Knife edge isn't very good, lots of coupling.

I am not crazy about the colors of the new twist. I had the UCD 60 & 160 and I do not think either one of them even come close flying as well as the twist 60. I have a twist 60 now with a satio 125 and HS-645 servos. I think it is a great 3-D plane. I put mine in to inverted flat spins and water falls all the time. I could never get my UCD to do this stuff. After flying the twist I kissed the other two good by.

I don´t fly planes with such little side (fuse) area, wing area will make it float around like a kite, but without sustentation on KE I can bet It will roll ugly, and short coupled planes are very touchy on elevator (great for waterfalls and spins but erratic for straight lines)
It is about your flying style anyway

RE: TWIST 150...WOW
Well I picked up my New Twist 150 yesterday at my LHS,..and I bought the Evo 26GT2 gasser for it,..I don't like the sport muffler thats recommended,..but will learn to live with it..This will be a great little knock around gasser....and on the flight table it looks like a large glow on Steriods. With the upright mounting on the rail type engine mounts .But this is intended to be a fun and easy to screw around with and have fun ..it should be a real BLAST with the Evo 26GT2...I'll start the build up today..still need to order the muffler from Bisson and should get the order in today sometime...I like the colors alot and the trim pattern for this plane,..and the bottom is all red so it will be very easy to maintain orientation when airborne...This is the 14th airplane I've done from Hanger 9..I really like their products...and I've switched over to the new DX7 2.4 gig..radio ...and this is a real GOOD radio system...love the Rx and how it mounts, 20 model memory...has made my Futaba 9CAP Super w/ Synthesizer modual...expendable...and I sold it a couple of days ago...No more Frequency boards for Me
...I've gone all DX7 and Gas airplanes...I'm down to my last glow plane a Hanger 9 Pulse NX
I will keep this one for a little while longer,..I really like the 2 piece wing set-up for the Pulse
and a great little flyer...my next project is going to be the New Seagull Extra 260 90 size due out in March, and going to put the New Zenoah G20ei gasser in it...should be another capable Aerobatic/3D airplane,......The wing on this Twist 150 is a nice short FAT wing ought to be blast...See ya[8D]

I've put some pics on the build thread of this plane:

I'm putting a Saito 180 on mine and ran into some throttle linkage issues. They're solved now with a pic showing what I had to do.

RE: TWIST 150...WOW
Looks like only an upright mount is possible, bad for gasser's & 4 strokers. Wing looks good for nice & slow flight but tough to harrier I bet. Its not ugly enough to be in U Can Do class!
