Default New mini Raven 49"

Hi guys

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We have been working on this project for the last 6 month The new Zerogravity Mini Raven 49" Electric ARF was designed to deliver maximum aerobatic performance in a small and affortable package. Completely unlimited in its ability to perform all the outrageous maneuvers including 3D and precision flying. Stability in low and high speed flying and superb flying characteristics due to an innovative airfoil design are delivered in this small airplane in an unmatched way so you might be looking at a 49" plane but feel as a 35% while at the sticks.

We have designed the plane with no compromise on selected materials, hardware and accessories in order to bring into the R/C market one of the finest models available today.

Some of the Mini Raven's many unique features:

Two piece removable wing with a carbon fiber wing tube.

One piece canopy/hatch, ready to use out of the box, no more cutting and trying to fit and glue, the canopy is retained by 4 magnets, again already installed.

Beautiful color scheme and true to scale appearance on the ground and in the air

Two elevator servo setup possible (one or two servos)

CF horns all around

Fiberglass Wheel pants and cowl pre painted perfect color match to covering.

We are now testing the model with different setups. we had very good results with the equipment that we used listed below:

Wing span: 49"
Wing Area: 465 sq.in ''super light wing loading''
Length: 44"
Weight: 41oz -/+
Motor: Hacker A30-14L
Prop: APC 14x7E
Servos: HS-65's
FLIGHT POWER 3S 2500 Li pack

because of our quality control procedure all models will be checked before delivery.
availability of the model will be announced soon.

Does this sounds familiar?
Another Extra, Yak, Edge..... it is the time for the new mini Raven49".

That looks sweeeet!!

If you need a Beta Tester with Upper-Lower or Lower-Middle flying abilities I am your man..

I am also moderately capable of writing a mediocre build/flight report.

Seriously though, That is a nice looking plane.

The Raven flies sweet. The wing looks a bit like an Edge with the straight LE. Do you have an estimated price point for this beautiful bird? I am just about ready to purchase the Seagull Extra 300s EP but may wait if you aren't too far off with production.

I like the looks of this plane.

The original raven used a Zivko Edge wing. In fact, IIRC they built that wing for Wayne Handley before they had built a complete Edge 540.

This plane looks great. I love the picture of the pit crew, binky and all! I have a few helpers like that...

Assaf, are you going to market these directly or will you have a distributor here in the USA?

I am excited to see the Raven. I am starting to have Yak overload.

Assaf, who is the band playing on that video? It sounds familiar but I just can't quite place it. Good stuff!

This Raven looks great and flies extremely well

wow! what can i say?! this plane is fantastic! by far the best small electric model i have ever flown! i have flown a lot too

first off, the box art is really really nice, open it up and the plane is even nicer, really well packaged too.

quality is on par, if not better, than all the other models of the ilk, but it has a few things that make it just that little bit better. for example, all the covering that needs to be cut away around the wings, servos, tail for gluing. The UC is really nice too, and is mounted in the fuz, rather on the bottom, making it more scale like. the slot is then covered with a really neat fairing, not something you see unless you buy giant scale. Light weight wheel pants also have the ply mount glued in place, and have 2 small dimples where the spat has to be mounted. Canopy magnets are HUGE, and as yet i cant get the canopy come off in flight, but i will keep trying. Covering is superb, and i still cant get my head around how well the raven outline goes from wing to fuz to canopy to cowl in perfect line.

So on building front, perfect!

However the flying is just amazing. really, i cannot stress enough how good this thing really is. its perfectly stable in all forms of flight, weather upright or inverted, no wing wobble or any snapping. actually, when flying fast tight manoeuvres, there is no hint of a high speed stall or wing drop.

If anyone has seen the video of the 120 inch QQ yak, where he does those full power circuits low....well this plane does just that. not many planes i have the nerve to fly at 3/4-full power only a foot off the deck in tight close circuits, it feels so locked in. Precision aerobatics is the same too, very crisp points and pull-outs. im still experimenting with CG, but its still very promising with a rearwards CG. Knife edge is very powerful. I find it has a bit of slightly strange coupling when you get rudder hitting the elevators type throw, but with the power in the rudder, you really dont need that much throw.

Landings are stable, but as with all light draggy planes, it does need power, or a steep glide slope.

I have tried to break this plane in as many ways as i can, full power blenders, aneurysms and KE spins, nothing even phases it, just pulls out quickly easily and stably for whatever you next want to throw at it. I have done some ground crash testing () and ive had no damage what so ever.

Rolls and rolling harriers are very axil too

All in all, one fantastic plane, deffinatly at the top of my list of electric planes for quality and performance, well done Zero Gravity!
