Default Anyone try a 16x6 or 17x4 prop on Saito 100 ?

I have Saito 100 in Showtime 90, a bit under powered for 3D, but on 30% Heli fuel the motor really pulls hard. The plane is 9lbs dry and on 30% heli fuel it pulls 12.2lbs of thrust with APC 16x4W @ 9600 RPM, and it spools right up with no delay. Those weights are with digital fish scale (15lb limit), accurate to 1oz.

So I want more thrust.....aiming for 13 - 14 lbs "real thrust" (not calculated), so I was think to go with APC 16x6 or 17x4....anyone tried this combo on 30% heli, can the motor swing it ?

The Saito 100 is happiest with a 15x6. My YS110 on 25% nitro is turning the 16x6 at 9,750-10,000 RPM when peaked. You ShowTime 90 does not give that great a performance with the FA100. I believe there was a review on RCU or was mentioned in RCU by one of the forumers a while back. You want the FA125, for me I saw take the YS110. Your best bet is the 17x4, you may have some hope there.

The YS110 pulled my F90 straight up ... no issues at all.
