Default Seduction Series - Demonstrator, FreeStyle, Fun Fly etc...

Interesting bit of INFO about the Seduction FunFly.....

I just called MRC to ask about availablity here in the states. Yes they have them and they are very proud of them. They want $190 U.S. + shipping.

I can buy the same thing from Derek in Signapore for approx. $133 U.S. and that includes shipping!!!

I used the Universal Currency Converter to arrive at that number because Derek's quote was in Singapore dollars.

Huang, What are the modifications done on the Ono Freestyle. I see that the ailerons are larger, but what else has been done? Any idea? I'm about to start construction and I want to build the most capable model possible.

Any weights available for the Demonstrator? I really want one, but from what I'm told they are very expensive, especially to get one here in the U.S. (Close to a grand!!) Will the G-Trick .90 deliver the same performance? They appear to be similar airframes, although I'm sure that the Kyosho bird will be heavier because it is mass produced. Any serious 3-Der have any experience with the G-Trick .90? Please give me some input. Also, Jeff Green at MRC/Altech says he can get Demonstrators in batches of six. If interested, contact him ASAP, as he is getting ready to place an order, and a deposit is required to reserve one. He can also get the Stream 50 Hiper. Anyone have any experience with this bird? Looks great and its an ARF to boot!

KnifeB; I just came back from Japan was there 5 years. I have experience with both. The Hyper is fully 3D Mr. Ikegami(Engineer for Hirobo) demonstrated it. It is a fabulous aircraft. They were just tooling up for it in October 2000. I left before it came out in February 2001. He fly's it with a Modified YS 63 (using an OS 91 4 stroke exhaust and a YS 91FZ Muffler with the baffle out. He did Waterfalls 10 ft off the ground with a harrier to a Hover then did a tail touch and went Straight Vertical. Is it 3D ?? Heck yes it is.
One more thing they had on the demo bird was a Removable Stab for shipping. I don't think the production model has that.

The G-Trick I owned was capable of alot but Monster 3D Well I had my YS 120 on it and could Hover, harrier Flat spin etc. But Waterfalls were always falling out. Then I Increased the throws to a Massive amount (Nearly 1/3 more) and re-set all the Servo's and changed to MK bearing torque Rod ends, changed CG. Then it was 3D capable 100% Cut the Throws to Low rate as with the Stream and you have a F3A practice aircraft.

I guess I got lucky cause I found a built ARC Seduction FS from a great guy in Colorado. I can only tell you that the plane is totally awesome. I'm putting in the recommended YS 63 and I know it's going to rock!!!!!!

Scorpion Jack, thanks for the input! Decisions, decisions! I have ordered a Seduction Freestyle, but with my limited time to build, it will take until summer to get it flying. Might get a Stream Hiper to fly in the meantime. Price is quite a bit less than the G-Trick .90! Thanks for the ys 63 mods. I'll definitely pick up a muffler and remove the baffle for the 63.

Anyone know of any downloadable video of the Hirobo Stream Hiper or the MK 3-D Dancer? Also interested in any videos of the IAM contests in Japan. I really hope the artistic aerobatic events catch on in the States.

The Seduction Freestyles are being ordered through Singapore Hobbies, cheaper than any U.S. distributor can provide. I believe Kevin is getting one as well.

wow I'm glad I started this thread! Looks like a lot of people are getting the FreeStyle. The detailed mods for the Uno Special are here in this link. (the click on the top two hyperlinks for detailed pics).
http://www20.tok2.com/home/rc/data2/2001-5-6/1.htm
The biggest mod I can see is enlarged ailerons. Others are small/cosmetic mods like anti-vibration wing mount, see-thru fuel tank, access hatch, anodized gear etc. I would definitely go with the YS-63, and use the OS-91 muffler mod.

I don't think the Wildstyle is available yet? It was updated on their website on March 2nd as new release. I would imagine it would take sometime before they hit the streets...

I envy you guys who can actually get a Demonstrator... The list price for this plane is 98,000 yen, so a grand is not too bad. We have to get the Seduction 90 and do the mods ourselves. Maybe Singapore hobbies can get it?? I should sent them an email... $139 is a great price for the freestyle!

The New Stream 90 is on the page and the new Magic 3D from Hirobo is on the links below. A couple of pages have pictures of the Hyper. And the modification of the YS 63 I told you about is listed in Mr. Ikegami's pages.

But the Hyper isn't shown! It's just to new.

Any of you guys know which APC prop the guys in the Seduction Freestyle videos are running on their YS .63? I'm really impressed with the way the Freestyle launches out of the torque rolls in the video called yoo-yoo. Also, Singapore Hobbies has the Ono Special version of the Freestyle available with enlarged surfaces and other mods. This is the one I am ordering. Concerning running the YS 91 muffler with the 63, I'm confused. A few posts back it was mentioned that this muffler was run in conjunction with an OS exhaust. Are you referring to an OS header? If so , which one?

On my 53 I used the 13x4W APC, letting it turn about 10800, on a 4.25 lbs Top Cap. It would blow out of a hover with the authority shown in the yo-yo video. They also have a 14x4W which may be a better choice for the 63, it was a little too much for the 53.
