Great Planes 60 size reactor bipe
I was looking at the Great Planes web site and and was shocked to see this new airplane. I don't know how to bring the picture over here . But i'm really excited to get me one to bad they used orange on it instead of the same scheme they used on the little electric airplane but i'm really they came out with this larger version. I really want a50cc version but i'm stoked about this 60 sized one I'm going to build mine electric. Thank you Great Planes

Hmmm....might have to be a Reactor nerd and get one of those too! I have the 58" version, and am ordering the 50cc in the next month or so, as I've been gathering the servos and batteries, etc, so I might as well get this one this winter. Looks like a good home for a new OS 1.10 alpha maybe...

Dang that thing is cool. I already have the 58" Reactor at home with a Saito 82 in it. It is one of the easiest flying planes ever! Maybe I will finally get a biplane!

RE: Great Planes 60 size reactor bipe
I will probably also get one. I've built two Reactor .46 size, one with an OS 55 AX that I sold, my current one is electric.
I also have the Reactor bipe, if the .60 size flieslike the smaller oneit will be great. Since I'm now 100% electric I wish Great Planes had designed the .61 bipe to be electric only - it would be lighter that way. But it still looks great. Great Planes seems to be releasing the planes that I am most interested in lately - I'm also interested in the Sequence to practise some pattern flying.

Price wise, one can include the 25$ off certificate, and no shipping if they are a tower member....
THat is a nice price if you look at it like that............
I look at it though, as the large 1.60 runs 450$ and the .46 sized runs 200$ than, if they stick to plans....
it will be around 525$ for a 1.60 sized reactor biplane.
I have mainly gone GAS, instead of Alcohol, and the bigger one looks more promising at this point.....
I would love to see as 150cc sized Reactor Biplane!.....That would give QQ's Pythons a run for there money, in the Fun-fly catagory.....

Oh yeah 150 cc reactor bipe would be so awesome never even dreamed of that i'm going to go over to the greatplanes web site and leaving a little message about that it also needs to have a tunnel for canisters. I like your thinking if you were in nebraska i would buy you a beer.

Thanks...
I alsways wondered why some of the planes Isee weren't superzized (not in any affiliation to McDonalds)
A 100-150cc pattern plane would be a blast......................
It would be very stable pattern flyer to say the least!...

How did the CG come out? What servos did you use. Looks good.

mfuess, looks nice! read your thread on the link; sounds like it flies pretty nice. What size tank are you using for fuel? I like that you weighed it full of fuel. Will be interesting to see how it would turn out with something like an OS 1.10 full of fuel for a weight comparison...

RE: Great Planes 60 size reactor bipe
Like most of you, I'm a Reactor addict! I started off with the electric bipe and absolutely love it. After having it over a year, Ijust maidened my Reactor .46 monoplane (with Saito .82) and I love this plane! I was just about to go buy the electric Monoplane when I saw the add for the new Bipe. Ibought it from Tower the first day it was in stock and it's sitting downstairs in the box...ready to be assembled.
I already know what radio gear I'm gonna use, but I'm still contemplating power. I was leaning toward the OS FS-91II w/pump, but after looking at the new OS 110, it looks like a win/win. It's lighter, more power and mounts in the same space. The only thing would be the muffler. If the straight header pipe is long enough to clear the cowl it would work nicely. I like the looks of the FS-91 muffler install, but I've had trouble with that header setup in my Super Skybolt. My Skybolt has an FS-91 and uses the in cowl header and stock header to get the muffler out of the bottom but it kept vibrating loose, even with locktite! I finally fabricated a strap from the firewall to hold it. With the Reactor and the pipe run outside the cowl I'm afraid it might be tough to keep in place.
Anyway, as usual, I'll study it to death before making a decision! But, I'm leaning towards the new OS 110.
