Default New Spad3d

Latest and greatest: Has an ASP .52 which is a really great running engine, so far. Plane has flown 3 times, never touched the needle. It was windy and I haven't flown in 8 years so I got very little stick time; my mate took it off and landed it. It is squirrley as hell, just like it is supposed to be but i need to get some trainer time B4 I fly it again. What was I thinking? It took a lot longer to build than a lot of you guys - maybe i spent too much time tryin' to make 'er pretty. It'll look great when I auger 'er in. Cheers, Jeff

Those are fun. I would not make one that pretty. Mainly because 75% of my Spad flights ended in a crash. lol

www.spadtothebone.com has plans for the 3DT and I just multiplied the specs by 1.6. I put a gasser on the front and flew! did the tail a little different as seen in the pics below.
Here is a video of the Maiden:

Thank you much, it is a joy to fly. I am going to install a yard stick spar to stiffen up the wing a little so high speed walls and flips are sharper.

Good flying!
