I just don't see a way to get cans in there. The space where they would go is just not wide enough for 2 side-by-side. A 2-into-1 would work.. but I don't have any experience with how those run.

FWIW.. Hangar 9 ARF's just get better and better. This one is REALLY good.. The only things I have to do on mine now are to mount the engine, set the incidence on the top wing, and rig the rudder. It's basically done otherwise. If I wanted, I could get 55 degrees of elevator travel, and 60 degrees of rudder (like this will EVER need that much).

Going to be a fun airplane I think.. I can't wait.

One set of pipes that will work in the Ultimate are available from Dalton Aviation (727) 393-3212 and are Precision Carbon Fiber Exhaust Systems. Weight is 11.5 oz

Here is my Hanger 9 Ultimate. I was not a big fan of the color scheme, so I recovered it in Ultracote. It has a DA-150 and all JR 8411's. It balanced perfectly with the carbon spinner. Hope to fly it soon once I get the cowl painted.

Doug -

What field do you fly off of ??
Would like to be around for it's maiden flight.

I am a member of Palomar RC and have flown at Chula Vista on the border.

thanks

I generally fly at Camp Pendleton. I haven't decided where I'm going to test fly this thing cause Pendleton has been closed quite a bit lately. I'll post here when I'm closer to flying it. We should have 2 ready to go pretty soon (mine and Jon Vance's).

He's using a DA-150.. I'm using a ZDZ-210.

If it flies as well as I think it will, I'm going to have a 2nd one recovered in my scheme.

I think he has you confused with Chris and Rod Maier. They are here in the Lehigh Valley as well. I haven't seen them on line in a few weeks. Thought they'd be chimen in on the Ultimate as they've been working on theirs as well.

I believe there is a IMAC Flyin this weekend up at Shawnee?

Lee Snover

Chris and Rod Maier
You may be right, lol. Not sure of their last names. I know that they just bought the H9 ultimate also. I'm here in Martinsburg Wv, not far from Frederick Md. We are having a Giant Scale Fly in this saturday. www.propbusters.com

Well, maybe the have the same last name. But Chris is quite a bit younger then the guy in the picture. Maybe it's a bad picture? Rod is his Dad. They fly out of LVRCS in Bethlehem.

Chris is that you?
