RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
the 260 is bigger and floatier the slick is starting to get outdated
|
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
You know your right the slick is starting to get out dated . I never thought about that . The slick I just flew was the older 70" blue and sliver . It flew 3d in wind as good as the 100cc planes on market I felt like I was flying a big plane
|
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
lol I dout that . the slick is floaty
the slick is big |
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
I like the slick very much but I bet the 260may float better with a 79" wing I'm really hoping to hear from one who has flown both
|
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
is the updated slick still using a glue in stab and elevator joiner?
the price is nearly the same, the 260 offers a lot more in design. |
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
As far as I know yes the slick still does that is the only thing I don't like about the slick wish they got with the times on that still a awesome plane but man have u guys seen the vid tail dunk with the aw 260 man that plane gets it just google search aeroworks 260 freestyle 30cc it's worth watching the vids of it
|
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
yes I had new 260, cant comment much on flight, as she kamakazeed in on maiden due to electronic issues, but assembly was fast and easy and solid, and its a decent size with a few nice extra touches, sure the slick is a proven airframe, but at the same cost the 260 is a better buy in m opinion.
yes, if you read various forums comments, they all give the AW 260FS 2 thumbs up. I am getting another with out doubt at all. |
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
Thank u much for the info sorry to hear about the loss hate that .so much money and the wife never understands lol.
|
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
Yeah the wife was pissed
She also liked the plane, and I have alot of them The size was nice , big enough, but fits in a 4 dr sedan for An everyday flier I searched the 30cc market for a long ,and if you Want a top of the line plane the aw is way ahead Of pilot and others I would also consider the extreme flight extra 300 in 30cc, but i already have their 50cc one |
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
Thank u very much for the info I just got a email from a guy that owns both aw 260 and the slick he said aw 260 all the way looks like I'm doing the aw 260
|
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
I am getting another too
The only thing is, these don't have a canister Tunnel, the dle 30 is loud on stock muffler, not a problem If your field is not noise sensitive I think TBM sells a plug for the stock muffler To bring the dcb down |
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
Valleyviewrc.com sells them they do make it very quite . Lucky me no issue at my club but I think I'm gunna now go with the 35 after talkin to frank he said its best match for it
|
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
The 35 bolts right up and template is provided.i put the dle 35
In mine with canister. It just needs 1/4 spacers to get cowl Distance. I simply made them from wood ( 1 inch Diam? ) Dowel and drilled the center out for bolts Some said the el servos may touch each If you have a deep case. I had clearance On mine, but easy enough to use a shim if needed Everything else was simple. Enjoy |
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
260 Freestyle with the DLE 35RA is an amazing model! Engine is perfect and it flies on rails. It excels in every portion of flight except slow flat spins. SFG's are to blame there but still a great model. Only negative thing to put would be the construction around the gear mount isn't the strongest. By the way, Aero-works is making a 50cc and 100cc size freestyle soon.
|
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
does anyone know if the aw comes with the graphics.
|
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
Yes
Comes with the 260 freestyle logos and some Other stuff. Some said they were translucent And had new ones cut I never applied mine, so not sure on quality Or how see through they are, But you do get a full sheet with Large logos |
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
very cool as of now I have a new with a few flights dle 30 .do any of you feel this engine wont have enough power to go crazy with 3d flight?or better yet how big of a diff is the 35 to the 30?
|
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
Be a very fast swap to the 35, if you think the 30
Is not enough, Some said the 35 was almost too much, maybe The 30 will do if at lower elevation |
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
good point and very true I guess I could sell my 30 and just go 35 from the start thx again guys
|
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
Go 35! You will not regret it! I'm going fly mine tomorrow!<div>

|
RE: what to get aeroworks 3dhs
I'm running a Xoar 19x8. It pulls well. I had the 20x8 on it at one time. It pulled pretty hard but lost speed. The sound was amazing with the 20 though. Had a great rip
