Purchase Super Cap info
I WANT A GOOD FOAMY NOW ! I have a Flatout 300s now, it flies like a sled at low speeds.
I am ready to order a Super Cap. I already have my shopping cart filled out. But I want to make sure I get everything I need first. So with that I have a few questions...
If I order the cSuper Cap with the Hacker 20 does it bolt right in, or do I need a gear box?
Are the parts (Super Cap, Hacker motor/ESC in stock?
I have a Rimfire motor now, would I be better off getting the Hacker?
Is there any comparison to the Super Cap's flying characteristics as to compared to the Flatout models? The 300 FLatout will fly nice at slow speeds in some wind, but yesterday in a no wind situation it likes to from the sky to easy...

RE: Purchase Super Cap info
Hi, the supercap is in stock and ready to ship, the big hacker motors I am currently out of. But the hacker, or any outrunner with a radial mount will screw right onto the supplied motor mount from the kit.
There is no comparasin from a flatout to a 3DFoamy airplane, Im not just saying that, I was a die hard customer of 3DFoamy before taking it over. And the super planes I have are just that much better. They fly better than any other plane available, and are the strongest as well.
Here is a video I made the other day with my SuperCap, as you can see this bird does it all!

RE: Purchase Super Cap info
Hey John thanks for the IMMEDIATE response [8D] I figured that this is what I would hear (that's a good thing)
I saw yours first and loved everything about them, but I wanted one ASAP so I went to the local shop and picked one up along with a flight pack. So now it looks like I'll have to wait anyway to get the right one for my needs
Question: The Rimfire I already have swings a APC 10 x 4.7, will this be enough motor for the Super Cap? Don't want to make 2 mistakes...
I'll check out the vid as soon as I get to my DSL PC then submit my order

RE: Purchase Super Cap info
I just finished all the foam build ups, and have test fit all the parts into a complete plane. I'm very impressed on how TIGHT everything interlocks together. I love the entire design of the plane, the wing itself is one heck of a design. Great job!
Now I'm off to paint before the final assembly begins

I'll definitely get some photos up later today, vids to come She's all painted, structured and ready to rig. I didn't do anything wild with the paint scheme, just some baisc colors to give it some life and visual reference. But man if it flies half as good as it looks and builds it will be the bomb (I guess that's not a good word to use these days)
I hope to test fly her first thing Sunday morning.
My Hacker is still on the Fed Ex truck [:-]

RE: Purchase Super Cap info
Well, I didn't get a chance to fly it yesterday due to lots of fog [:@]
But I did manage to get a quick test flight in this afternoon
Man, I think I had a harder time test flying my first kite
With no wheels I just did a vertical hand launch, from there I MAY have added one click of down trim and started to fly. One minute into the flight I was doing low speed snap rolls, Harrier, and flying in a 50 square foot area 25' off the ground like nothing. I even had a little wind, didn't seems to bother it one bit...
Now I'm going to start moving the CG back, I already have some flapperon/airbrake mixing computed in with linear throttle control (from 0 to 50% throttle)
Flies like a dream [8D]
