in reality it takes upwords of 150' to max out the speed, specially for top end speed. both would likely average half that average speed, specially when you also factor in 50' or so for him, and 25' or so for you to slow down.
Id say he'd have a better chance if you started even and raced up and you went half back, he went all the way back. you have an edge in not having to slow down from full speed for the turn.
