s. My first RC was a Tamiya Wild One(when it was new) I knew what he meant but I have never titled an RC in any of the the Three decades that I have owned them. No hard feelings; all is great.

You must be too young to know that the "pinks" he's talking about are 'pink slips". That's what they used to call the regestration or title of a vehicle because they were printed on pink paper. He was saying that the winner gets to keep the losers truck. That could easily make the stakes more than $1000 depending on upgrades.
