Default RE: Shrike 40 arf / What engine?

Blue,
Based on your expectations, you will be happy. I run a Jett 60 and it's a hand full. The covering blows off, litterally. The whole fuse top covering came off the last time I flew it. Must have started loosening from exhaust oil and I didn't catch it in time. You'll have fun and it should be impressive. When and or if you want more speed, the Jett is a fine way to go. One of the best things about Jett is you have immediate, knowledgeable and willing help right here in the forum. Take advantage of it. They'll even talk to you about other manufacturer's engines. Guess they know you'll eventually not be able to resist the bang of a Jett. I wasn't.

Be sure to play around with different props to get all the goodie out of the AX. Don't be afraid to let it rev up. It revs higher and produces more power than the 46FX. Others may be more experianced with exactly which prop to use. I'd suggest you think about APC's in sizes like 10X6, 9X7, maybe 9X8
