Default RE: What fingers do you use on the control sticks ?

There was a time when I could have voted for other. I used the first 4 fingers of my left hand and the thumb and first two or three fingers of my right.

It was an old EK 7 channel single stick. Rudder, elevator and ailerons were on the single stick, throttle and three other conrols were slides on the right hand side of the transmitter case.

Actually, if I hadn't learned to fly with the thumb and index fingers years ago, I would have had to stop my all weather flyer effort in the early part of my 15th straight year. I had a stroke in December, and found out that while I can still handle the left stick with the thumb and index finger, I can't move the stick at all with only my thumb. I can't even keep my thumb on top of the stick.
