In the USA, both Hitec and Futaba normally use negative shift while Airtronics and JR use positive shift. Hitec sells receivers that will work on either (you specify choice when ordering) as well as some that are selectable shift. There are also other brands that will work such as FMA which sells receivers that work with all brands of transmitters.
