RE: Ed's Mach Racer
The new Mach Racer will be on order soon. Flaps and I are going to do a little re-design. I am planning to use balsa aileron stock for the elevons instead of the built up kit ones. They are 2 13/16" wide at the root and I may be getting a little flutter.
I am also planning to sweep back the trailing edge 7 degrees as Flyboy Dave has mentioned in another thread as being good to prevent flutter. A 2" extension at the tip, going to 0 at the root of the 17" elevons will give me 7 degrees. Should be an easy mod.
I am also going to titanium pushrods.
Why am I doing this? I like the little plane. Probably with the kit gear and a muffled .46 it is a great plane.
