Default Little Toni Modification

I recently purchased a Great Planes Little Toni. Powered by a Tower .75 with tuned pipe. Flew great on first flight but had the same problem others were having with getting this thing to slow down for landing. Tried cutting throttle mid field down wind, changing prop from a 11x8 to a 12x6. Even if i got it slowed down it would ballon and bounce all the way down the runway. To fix the problem I installed some fairly large split flaps, 2 flaps each about 8x3 " and end just forward of the wing bolt mounting plate. Hooked to one servo and extend about 45 deg. What a difference, she slowes down real nice and lands like a trainer now with the flaps extended. One important note that the other replies on this subject failed is that when you produce lift you also produce drag. so flaps on a floater type airplane is a good not a bad thing. also by extending the flaps past the 30 deg point you create much more drag than lift.
Pictures to come!
