8103 Split Elevators

I am trying to rig split elevators with my 8103. I have a NER226X receiver with 6 channels. I have already used alieron and Aux1 for my ailerons. I am able to make the elevators work by mixing elevator and the remaining gear channel, and am getting trim on elev. My problem is disableing the gear switch. I tried a mix of gear/gear on mix 3 at 100% without success. Am I right in thinking I need a new receiver with more channels?
